A disgruntled customer who was escorted out of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in south Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon and then drove his pickup into the building, was shot and killed by a railroad officer, Lincoln Police said.
Officers were called to the restaurant at 6810 S. 27th St. shortly after 1 p.m. on an initial report that a vehicle had driven into the business, police said at an afternoon news conference.

Shoot-mor-chiknshits
Railroad policemen are the equivalent of other law enforcement officers
Intentionally driving a vehicle into an occupied building is a little bit more that ‘disgruntled’, wouldn’t you say?
Seems like a righteous shooting to me. Glad the cop was there.
It is a shame that a guy basically killed himself over Meal #1.
Says the deceased lived in a upscale gated community. Good shooting by the RR Cop. One less crazy sob .
Yes, and it sounds like the guy was flipping tables and generally out of control before he rammed the truck into the restaurant.
I wonder what was wrong with his sandwich?
How can you be ‘disgruntled at Chic-fa-la? Their employees are about as pleasant as they come.
What kind of idiot gets himself kicked out a Chick-fil-A in the first place, let alone decides to drive into it? That's Chuck E Cheese behavior.
It was made by decent people?
“Known to police” but didn’t have an arrest record. Possibly unbalanced to begin with.
You shot me!
My pleasure, sir.
Around 30 years ago, I was standing near a bridge railing overlooking the Swannanoah gap. I was just above the tunnel admiring the beautiful view and the railroad way below.
As I was standing there I noticed a couple of boys on the track and it was a long way down. Then I noticed an official vehicle park maybe 100 yards from them, as far as they could go by car.
Two men got out carrying short barrelled shotguns. They eventually caught the boys and brought them back. I have no idea what was going on other than maybe trespassing.

Maybe he was doing the Popeyes vs Chick-fil-A challenge and discovered it was just a ... sandwich. Sent him into a rage with enough smarts to attack the place with the back of his truck. Known to police but no police record means crazy rager.
“Intentionally driving a vehicle into an occupied building is a little bit more that disgruntled, wouldnt you say?”
Intentionally driving a vehicle into an occupied building... = assault with a deadly weapon and warrants lethal force in defense of life....
Least that seems right.....
KYPD
Thats exactly what I was wondering. Nice employee interactions Every. Single. Time.
Seems like a righteous shooting to me.
The officer appears to have been very well trained.
Attempted to defuse the situation, after being forced to use his weapon, he began CPR.
Despite the attacker already being well ventilated.
If the troublemaker turns out to be LGBT, will the news media even report it?
His chickens have certainly come home to roost...
