FL Court: Cities must cooperate with ICE or elected officials will be removed from office
Law Enforcement Today ^ | October 6th 2019 | LET Staff

It’s a landmark ruling out of Miami, Florida that was handed down from a federal district judge.

Cooperate with ICE… or you’re out of a job.

There was a new Florida state law that put a ban on sanctuary cities. It also ordered law enforcement officers to continue full cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Miami U.S. District Court Judge Beth Bloom upheld a majority of the components of that law on Monday, just one day before SB 168 went into effect.

On top of banning sanctuary cities in Florida, it also creates a new mandate. It requires police departments to hold inmates for an additional 48 hours to give ICE enough time to take custody of them.

Aiding and abetting lawbreakers is illegal. It’s about time that has been pointed out.

This should weed out some of the illegals in Florida.

It’s about time! This law will be challenged. I hope they are ready to defend it in intricately legal terms. Don’t depend on morally having the right decision. Libs have no particular set of morals.

This is a keystone ruling.
If the Left, pushes it to the Supreme Court...we know they have something on Roberts and can flip it somehow.

If they simply ignore it....we know the Supreme Court will let it stand and they don’t want that.

There are a lot of moving parts, but it isn’t complicated.

Problem is, we either have the rule of law, equality under the law, or we don’t. Leftists view the constitution as a Smörgasbord, that they can pick and choose to completely ignore plain black letter law they don’t like, and at the same time invent nonsense for stuff they do while pull schitt out of their ass. It is crucial that these folks find another line of work, they are nothing more than saboteurs acting under color of law in too many instances.

“Infiltrate an institution, kill it, gut it, wear its skin as a suit and demand respect”

That is their general MO.

That’s why they view the Constitution as a “living” document. They can bend it to their will................

LOE’s enforcing the laws, what a novel approach. Perhaps this will just protect the good LEO’s from undue political influence from the liberal mayors.

Can he issue a national injunction like the Dhimmicrats so? or is that reserved for “progressive” judges?
