I’m baffled that you wouldn’t know that it was somebody else’s apartment. You wouldn’t notice that EVERYTHING is different? Even in the dark you should notice that the apartment isn’t yours. The only excuse is to be so tired that you don’t know your own name. I figured that would be the defense, she slept very poorly the night before or she was working a lot of overtime. Her lawyer must be some disillusioned old guy that was only showing up for a paycheck, I’ve seen those lame-asses before (DUI lawyers in traffic court).
If I read right she inserted the key and the door pushed open before trying to unlock.
So much for equal protection under the law. A guy would be doing 30 to life and pulling out the stops to stay off death row.
yep
Howd she break in?
Wasnt testimony it was unlocked which alarmed her dumbass?
Im thinking booze was involved....
The man she killed was a Christian too...a Nigerian I think
Media proclaimed he was a devout public evangelical pretty quick
Funny how they tour that as a good thing when it suits them
Forgiveness is better than all of us deserve.
Forgiveness doesnt mean she shouldnt do her time for the crime.
It means she is not hated and can move forward.
God is Great!
I figure she had a chip on her shoulder being a woman cop And that if the door was not latching like it should it allowed her to act to fast. I think it was a mistake but no accident because there was no struggle for the gun. I read the story last year when it happened too an there was a line (i’m paraphrasing what I remember) she sat down and said “I’m screwed” after the murder.
That’s utterly ridiculous.
A MALE cop who shot an unarmed teen in a vehicle that was driving away from him
in Dallas is doing 15 years...
So just stop with the manwhining. Thank you.
Amen to that. A perfect demonstration of the kind of forgiveness that God calls each of us to practice. First and Foremost we all know that it is most difficult and nearly impossible to forgive those who do NOT deserve forgiveness without first having been forgiven ourselves.
When we were dead in sin, Christ died for us . In doing so we HAVE the privilege of being forgiven by FAITH we receive the forgiveness that we do not deserve and have a relationship with our Heavenly Father and have His Holy Spirit living inside of us that empowers us to forgive others . Clearly a power that many choose not to exercise.
You write some wonderful things on the board.
This particular thread is full of so many touching posts that it touched me.
And as an as jaded as you can get NYer, that ain’t easy.
But in the end, what does hate get you....
What a picture of each and every one of us at the moment we put our FAITH and TRUST in CHRIST for forgiveness of our sin. We take that step of faith and spiritually we run into the arms of Christ who has forgiven us.

How Deep The Fathers Love for Us How vast beyond all measure
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OH YES!!!! YES!!!! I am still in tears over this photo. It's a GOD PHOTO ..... a moment in that courtroom where God's PRESENCE was no doubt felt and SEEN... to all. Now we need to pray that the REVIVAL we all need here in our country will have begun today in that courtroom in Texas. Praying for the salvation of Amber and a story yet to unfold beyond human description.
LOVE How Deep The Father's Love for US!! .. one of my favorites.
No booze according to reports..poor construction job. Other residents complained their doors did not always shut correctly. Many residents also admitted to trying to unlock the wrong door FWIIW, which doesnt excuse this at all.
Amen ! The point in the video that cant be over emphasized was when HE took those first few steps in HER direction andAmen Amen and Beautifully put!SHE ran into his arms for the hug he requested permission to give her a hug to demonstrate his forgiveness but what I saw was HER running to him THANKFUL for the love and mercy she received but did not deserve.
What a picture of each and every one of us at the moment we put our FAITH and TRUST in CHRIST for forgiveness of our sin. We take that step of faith and spiritually we run into the arms of Christ who has forgiven us.
My first thought back when it happened was booze involvement, but I do remember that she was cleared of that back then.
It was mentioned she was texting her boy friend, another cop she worked with, as she was driving to her floor.
She was so engrossed in her love life she completely blew it and went to the wrong floor.
I know that but I was responding to someone who said she broke in
So I asked how?
The door was unlocked.....
Breaking in connoted force or chicanery like a tool or slim Jim device
I don’t think forgiveness of this woman has any place here at all. She doesn’t seem terribly cintrite, more inconvenienced. Ashamed a bit perhaps, but shame is what you feel when caught. The brother’s forgiveness is relevant in a society whose basic unit is the family and the paterfamilias is the entire voice ò the family. We don’t have that hêre.
