Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized again for wearing blackface on Thursday after two additional photos of him donning dark make-up emerged following an original, damning image of him at an Arabian Nights party.
Trudeau first apologized on Wednesday night after a 2001 photograph of him emerged in brown face at an Arabian Nights party when he was a teacher. He also referred to a high school incident where he dressed up as Harry Belafonte to sing the Jamaican song Day-O.
A photograph of the Day-O performance came out on Thursday morning but since then, a video of a third incident where he was wearing blackface emerged. It is unclear when it was taken.
Trudeau said on Thursday that he did not remember the third incident but he understood it was 'unacceptable' and that he has enjoyed 'layers of privilege' in his life.

At one of the funniest Halloween parties I ever went to a white couple came dressed as a black couple.
And their black friend came in a KKK getup.
LOL, what a hoot.
To me that seems pretty healthy.
Of course neither of us wants to downplay the sins of the KKK, but at some point you have to accept it’s a laughable concept in this day and age.

Most conservatives could care less about black face. It is more about the hypocrisy of the liberal socialist elite. They will viciously attack a conservative for dumb high school stupidity (as currently defined) but will cover up, excuse, obfuscate, other liberal socialist elites for the same or similar actions.
Very similar to the EPA. I did not like that organization but really happy to see California get skewered by the same organization.

Unfortunately, Trudeau being the mealy-mouthed, spineless weasel that he is, he does not have the guts to just tell everyone to go take a flying F at a rolling donut.
He should have just said, "Big Deal, I wasn't ridiculing anyone, it was a costume party...deal with it."
But he does not have the balls to say this; which is why he is so despised by many, MANY, Canadians, Eh?

As others have said — hoist on his own petard. Trudeau has been the Lighthouse of Alexandria of virtue-signalers. He booted members of his caucus for less — with zero due process.
While, I completely agree with you — these incidents were more along the lines of paying homage to, rather than mocking and disrespecting minorities — the (mainly American) left create this bugbear; and, it’s very satisfying to see their own kind getting bitten by it.

I refuse to be one of those people that have the JOY sucked out of life dissecting every little thing through a political lens.
Oh, I notice it, because it’s so blatant, but it doesn’t run my life. I can still ENJOY movies/books/music/live theater/documentaries/parades/concerts, etc. :)
He was plenty old enough (29 or 30), and wearing blackface, or even making yourself up to be dark skinned when you’re obviously not, was unacceptable enough (I recall it as being considered pretty unacceptable in the 80s, never mind the early 2000s) to have known better. Given his level of sanctimonious woke-ness today, and calling out by him (or his party) of less offensive things done by others (Andrew Scheer, for example) 10 or more years ago, it’s really galling.
But I don’t hate, or even dislike Justin. I just don’t, and never did, think he was qualified to be the prime minister of this country, regardless of his politics.
He needs to practice his grovelling ...not believable ... maybe add some rending of garments and self flagellation!!
I don’t see the problem. It’s not like he claimed to be a Native American and used the ruse to obtain a job at a prestigious university at a ridiculously high salary.
