Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized again for wearing blackface on Thursday after two additional photos of him donning dark make-up emerged following an original, damning image of him at an Arabian Nights party.
Trudeau first apologized on Wednesday night after a 2001 photograph of him emerged in brown face at an Arabian Nights party when he was a teacher. He also referred to a high school incident where he dressed up as Harry Belafonte to sing the Jamaican song Day-O.
A photograph of the Day-O performance came out on Thursday morning but since then, a video of a third incident where he was wearing blackface emerged. It is unclear when it was taken.
Trudeau said on Thursday that he did not remember the third incident but he understood it was 'unacceptable' and that he has enjoyed 'layers of privilege' in his life.

I bring all this up because the Left, as usual, is personally castigating and vilifying Trudeau (whom I hold in NO favor, whatsoever) for donning blackface for amateur performances and masquerade parties decades ago.......and everyone is falling for its tactics.
It's the same tactics used in tearing down statues and excoriating so many of our country's historically-famous leaders and military men, i.e., General Robert E. Lee was a "criminal racist". We are seeing constant efforts by the Left to erase and twist our history and heritage.
Hate him or insult him, Trudeau is just another minor cog in this continual, daily character assassination-by-racism-charges refined to an art by the Left. It is trying to inflict death on us by a thousand little cuts every day....and Trudeau's so-called "racism" is just one example this week.
So I don't feel we should be dumping on him so much on when the TRUE enemies of freedom are his assailants. It's an example of the Left's most-employed tactics of diversion and intimidation.

The first two episodes were pretty PC/PBS standard, but now we’re into the 50’s and 60’s which is where my musical interest lies.
Learning how well-educated and well-bred Minnie Pearl was, was very interesting!
I got to stand on stage at the original Grand Ole Opry. It was pretty cool to think of all the amazingly talented people that stood there in the past.

Me as well, great photo and as you say, imagine all the people who stood there. Lots of History, which is why I am enjoying the documentary even if it has areas with PC points of view. I'm sure my Ryman tour guide had his biases, but I am capable of doing some filtering and enjoy the historic nature and history of country music.
Sad that Canada elected a FLAMING RACIST to be their Prime Minister, but I guess those things happen. Fortunately we stopped electing racists after the 2012 election.
