Iran launched nearly a dozen cruise missiles and over 20 drones from its territory in the attack on a key Saudi oil facility Saturday, a senior Trump administration official told ABC News Sunday.
It is an extraordinary charge to make, that Iran used missiles and drones to attack its neighbor and rival Saudi Arabia, as the region teeters on the edge of high tensions.
President Donald Trump warned the U.S. was "locked and loaded" to respond to the attack on Sunday, waiting for verification of who was responsible and for word from Saudi Arabia on how to proceed.

Outstanding assessment!
My gut tells me you are 100% right!
Thanks!
One of my best friends and business associates is Iranian now living in Italy with an office in Amsterdam next to the HQ for Royal Dutch Shell.
I have decades of high level insight informing me of how it works.
C’mon nouveaux-isolationist Freepers! Tell us how much you still hate your old hero Bolton and how Bush is evil and how we must not extend military power overseas! C’mon Lindberghs! Wait... Where are you? You were so vocal just a day ago!
Feel free to use Google:

OK
We are going to have opportunity soon to see response to the foolish Iranian attack.
Who, how, when where.......
I think the coalition war plans have been in the can for a very long time and can now be implemented
> “And yet the country has come up with ballistic missile mounted nukes.”
No, NK did not come up with those missiles. They were supplied. That’s the point.
Oh. My. LORD.
“Why all of a sudden do you believe these known liars?”
So you are saying that Trump is a liar?
I do not believe we should be involved, other than to supply intelligence and purchased materiel to the Saudis. This is definitely THEIR fight.
Iranian power groups are under severe sanctions, a global lockdown that reduces their troublemaking operations to a trickle. The only way they get funding to create sustained and significant trouble is from the outside and it can’t get to these Iranians via banking. It has to come over land.
The Iranian group calling the shots in Iran are a conduit, a puppet for a group that has motives to stop what’s developing under the Trump Admin, its political and trading partners.
"If" to the unpracticed eye is a small, insignificant little word of two unremarkable letters. To the cursory reader, an impoverished word compared to some words that are more mighty in appearance yet this little word has extraordinary power, it can overturn the meaning of whole phrases, sentences paragraphs and, indeed, prejudgments .
I don’t use Goolag. I use Startpage.com.
That you profess to use Goolag is a blackmark against your credibility.
“Even if that is established, he must demonstrate that a military strike is the best move. That is equally difficult.”
If the attack can be directly linked to Iran, making the case for a strike is not that difficult.
For 75 years the US has had the de facto policy of ensuring the free flow of oil in the world, ESPECIALLY out of the Persian gulf.
It’s the base logic of the Carter Doctrine.
Oil is the lifeblood of the world economy. And 20-25% of the world’s supply originates in the Gulf.
That does NOT mean we have to overrun Tehran.
But the implication is that we would have to neutralize all their capability to interrupt the flow, as they have demonstrated that if they have the capability, they’ll use it.
The US has an essential, strategic interest in ensuring the free flow to market of Gulf oil. Even if we do not use much of it.
Agree.
I see.
Well go to Wikipedia and read up on the Coalition of the Gulf War (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalition_of_the_Gulf_War) and then as just one example, read up on Battle of Khafji (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Khafji)
I used Duckduckgo.com to destroy your credibility.
I just used “Google” to use the vernacular.
Again your knowledge level is shallow. Those funds were flown into different airports by five different planes and not all went to Iranian powerbrokers. Much went to bribes outside Iran.
“This mindset must be changed and although I am dead set against our direct involvement I would favor a strong, very strong advisory roll in a partnership with the Sauds so they may with our help wake up the Mullahs to the dangerous path they are on.”
Within 4 hrs of any Saudi attach on Iran, the entire Saudi oil infrastructure will be shut down by Iranian missiles. And the Strait of Hormuz will be shut to all traffic.
For a week or two.
If those two go at it, at least 20% of the world’s supply of oil will be taken off the market and gas in Houston will be $5/gal. $10 in Europe.
There is NO WAY the US could stay out of that fight.
“The Saudi Arabians had lost approximately 18 dead and 50 wounded, as well as seven V-150 vehicles. “
I stand corrected. The Saudis have only been pussies for 27 years. And before that, lost a whopping 18 guys.
