If I lived in the States, and could make the same claims, or had a wife that was continually forcing me into Walmart, I’d consider picking up an open carry holster.
Win-win
It’s their right. Carry concealed and avoid the problems.
Everyone needs to get one! I'm getting two.
Having sat in the boardroom of a multinational company while decisions are made, I can tell you the first question asked is, what is our liability? Most likely this was considered from the liability perspective more than from the virtue signaling perspective. Also, emptying a store for an hour fost them a lot of lost profit as well as a lot of bad publicity.
just out of curiosity, can they compel you to sign that paper? I would refuse to sign anything. Leave yes, but I’m not signing anything.
What’s the etiquette on that? If you’re banned from Great Wall Mart, are you supposed to write a thank you note?
How exactly does Walmart enforce a ban like that? They going to put his picture in every Walmart by the registers? Implant him with a tracking chip. They can cancel his Walmart Credit Card but what about him using cash or another CC, or will his name be flagged in the system so he can’t use any CC’s?
Screw Walmart
Why open carry and scare people? That is not very smart. Just conceal carry and be ready.
Let’s everybody do it.
“and I don’t have any open carry holsters. “
I have several. My carry when hunting and fishing is too big for cc.
I am always armed. What advantages are there to carrying your weapons in the open? My opinion is that carrying your weapon in a concealed fashion has the distinct advantage of not drawing attention. Thus lending some form of surprise.
Just curious.
I never understood this. How do they ban you from all the stores? I’ve read of various establishments doing this when people shoplift.
If this happened in one state how do they know you if you go across country to another WM who you are especially if you pay bycash?
Is this just lip service and not enforced?
When I lived in the Seattle area, the Wal-Mart was a pit. The women’s clothing section looked like a sloppy teenaged girl’s bedroom. i.e. clothes all over the floor. This was in Renton.
But Wal-mart was one choice shoppers had out of hundreds. i.e. only the riff-raff shopped there. Which is why I only went there a couple of times and never actually bought anything. It was just too depressing.
I now live in rural Kentucky, where they are really the only modern choice. This means everybody shops there. And guess what? It’s a very nice place to shop. It’s clean. The people are friendly. The staff speaks English fluently, etc.
What - he was shopping?
Stupid people. Stupid, triggered snowflakes.
Walmart shopper: “There’s an armed man inside the store acting suspiciously...”
Police dispatch: “What is he doing?”
Walmart shopper: “Picking out some potatoes”
Police dispatch: click
I visited a Walmart 15 or 20 years ago. Definitely can live without it.
So why can’t a baker ban gays from his store but this man can be banned?
1. ‘banned?’ and just how do they think they can enforce THAT!? ha ha
2. ridiculous
3. what with their crime and security problems, you’d think they’d be welcoming and even offering incentives for people to carry
4. their recent bs about firearms/ammo ...caused us to cease patronizing them. why go where you’re not wanted?
5. they really do have to figure out how to reduce the number of crazies and weirdos that collect at Walmart stores...
i realize this is a difficult thing but somehow they need to find a solution to this problem... otherwise more and more and more and more of their customers are going to shop elsewhere, or just order the same stuff, mostly, thru Amazon, etc.
