New York Mayor Bill de Blasio logged in only 7 hours at City Hall in an entire work month in other words, de Blasio worked less than a full work day during the month he launched his White House bid.
The New York Post reported:
Mayor Bill de Blasio spent a mere seven hours less than one full workday at City Hall during the month he launched his bid for the White House, records reviewed by The Post show.
Hizzoner showed up at his office on just six occasions in May, taking part in two meetings, four events and five phone calls, one of which was his weekly appearance on WNYC radio, according to entries on his official calendar.
The 11 appointments amounted to a meager one-fifth of the 50 meetings, calls and other events at City Hall on de Blasios calendar for May 2019. He had a total 152 city events scheduled for the month.
A former staffer blasted de Blasio: If hes trying to show New Yorkers that hes over doing the job, hes doing a good job of it.

Like any communist, He governs by issuing political slogans.
Trow ‘da bum out!!
America’s loss is NYC’s gain.
And how much time was spent in the crapper?
Be glad.
Had he spent more time there he could have done some real damage...................
It’s surprising he actually spent that much.
I think NYC would do better to double his salary and him not show up at all!!!!!
Any politician who runs for a seat he/she does not currently hold ought to be required by law to resign from their current position upon filing papers for a new seat.
In any other position, he would be judged to be “AWOL”.
What a no-show position. New York City should demand more of its putative leaders.
Just who is running the store?
Work is for the peasants.
Lefties don’t work, look at Obama.
Particularity for a national office. A city counsel member running for mayor can still be local and do the job they were elected for, but say mayor running for POTUS in no way can devote enough time to the city to be a effective leader.
How much does that make per hour?
Agreed.
100% agree.
LOL Too true...
Maybe we should take up a fund, and pay them five times their salary, if only they will just stay on vacation for their whole term in office.
Shouldn’t be illegal.
