President Donald Trump criticized Democrats on Tuesday after Rep. Ilhan Omar suggested that the United States should cut aid to Israel after officials blocked her and Rep. Rashida Tlaib from visiting the country. Trump indicated that the suggestion was ridiculous.
Five years ago, the concept of even talking about this cutting off aid to Israel because of two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people I cant believe were even having this conversation, he said.
The president commented to reporters about Tlaib in the Oval Office, speaking during a visit with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. He condemned Democrats for defending Tlaib and Omar and their comments against Israel and the Jewish people.
I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty, he said.
Trump was referring to disloyalty to fellow Jews, not to America a claim that is distinct from the antisemitic dual loyalty charge that Omar and Tlaib have both used to describe Americans who support Israel. His comments echo frustration from some politically conservative Jews, who complain that liberal Jews continue to vote for Democrats despite the partys anti-Israel drift and increasing tolerance for antisemitism.
Trump said that both Omar and Tlaib were planning on a propaganda tour against Israel if they were allowed into the country.

Why is there such a thing as a “liberal Jew”?
Trump is right and his truthfulness will deliver the Jewish Vote to Trump next November.
True dat!
He's right. How can any Jew vote Democrat when the party leadership condones anti-Semitism, if not outright practicing it.
They were. They may have very well incited rioting and worse. It's good they were refused entry.
Liberals say the same thing about black Republicans.
Or an allegiance to the Prince of this world.
Agreed. Jews voting in a block are just like black people voting in a block. They is some serious group think going on since they both want to just fit in with their group.
Some serious weak minded people out there.

Because there are ethnic "Jews" and religious "Jews". Religious Jews honor God's commandments (laws) and understand what it means in God's eyes to be one of God's chosen people and what their responsibilities are. Ethnic Jews are merely Jews because they are descendants. They do not know or care about God or Israel, they think of themselves as modern and progressive and free- thinking and moving away from the "old" ways. To me, it's very sad that they would give up that great heritage for the ways of the world.
No greater disloyalty than that of any Democrat voters for the US Constitution - which should matter more.

I'll repeat my post from the other thread
A foolish tweet. My understanding this is the full quote
Five years ago, the concept of even talking about this even three years ago of cutting off aid to Israel because of two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people. I can't believe we're even having this conversation. Where has the Democratic Party gone? Where have they gone where they're defending these two people over the State of Israel?"I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat -- it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.
Though it seems clear he's talking about the position of some Democrats, more than two, on aid to Israel, there's no reason to paraphrase an old antisemitic canard. I doubt he'll win any votes with this. And what about the Christians who support Israel and vote for Dems? Are they disloyal? To who?
Most Dem-voting Jews loyalty isnt to either America OR Israel. Or to God, obviously. Its to collectivism, globalism, and their pet issues abortion on demand, gun confiscation, man-made climate change, LGBTQ+ activism, and open borders.
Good question.
The Breitbart guy is sure it's other Jews.
"Trump was referring to disloyalty to fellow Jews, not to America a claim that is distinct from the antisemitic dual loyalty charge that Omar and Tlaib have both used to describe Americans who support Israel."
But Trump's personal lawyer, Giuliani, says:
"But really disappointed a rep of the ADL would feign confusion about @realDonaldTrump's statement. POTUS is referring to disloyalty to Israel."
That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the reply.
