This shoot out may be related to global warming.
This perp must have a helluva ammunition stockpile in that house. The press conference said he was still firing at the SWAT vehicles. It also sounded as though the police chief doesn’t know if the trapped officers are unharmed, but he believes they are alive. (Janet Reno may have piloted that unidentified drone the police chased away)
Mayor Jim Kenney (Dem) on TV now is “Angry that someone should have so much weaponry”
Only one muzzle loader per person!
We suspect a white supremacist may have invented the weapon being used in this incident.
Hillary may be called in to scream at the house to drive the shooter to suicide.
Barney Samuel, I think he was the last Republican Mayor, In Philadelphia. 1941-52.
GEEZE, it would be a GREAT time for someone to pull off a bank robbery anywhere else in the city!!!
Dang! I had forgotten about that.
That followed under the “We had to destroy the village in order to save the village” rubric.
My friend was going out to dinner but he won’t leave his house there for the night.
OMG I wonder how much Section 8 pays for one of these hell holes!!
Has Mayor Kenney called Mayor Pete for advice?
Time to call the tooty fruity big guns in.
Shots still being fired from the scene
My pop grew up in Port Richmond in 20s and 30s. That looked rough when I was a kid in the 60s.
Would love to feel comfortable to drive over there and see where he grew up; but won’t unless armed. Sigh.
Philly Natives are now signaling gang signs to each other in front of the camera man. Hopefully they don’t stomp him.
Stupidist post in the history of FR
Philly is perfectly safe if you carry a loaded 38 and can hit a beer can from 60 feet.
Port Richmond is pretty much Kensington.
Go there in a lowered Honda, and have a PR flag hanging from your mirror.
North Philly (anything above Broad Street) for the most part is third world sh*thole demographic mostly Afro and Hispano. Same can be said about venturing West Philly,South West Philly,”East” Philly and most of South Philly. Moreover watch out for Center City at night especially after everybody goes back to the ‘Burbs. Even the celebrated Chestnut Hill section can make you dead on a unfortunate night just going to WaWa. Lastly, forget Fairmount Park System entirely at night. I am not saying concealed carry but Philadelphia doesn’t abide by it so you are S.O.L. Just think,Philadelphia was our founding city! Times have changed.
There are still parts of Port Richmond that are okay. Especially the areas populated by the Polish along the Delaware River.
