Epstein Questions Deepen After Report that Jail Broke Rules
Breitbart ^ | 11 Aug 2019 | Breitbart News

NEW YORK (AP) — Jail staff failed to follow protocols leading up to Jeffrey Epstein’s death, according to a report from The New York Times, deepening the fallout from what led to the highly connected financier’s apparent suicide. Epstein should have been checked on by guards in his cell every 30 minutes, but that didn’t happen the night before his apparent suicide, a law enforcement official...

The Times spoke to the official on the condition of anonymity. The Associated Press has not independently confirmed the information.

A law enforcement source also said he was alone in his cell Saturday night after his cellmate was transferred. An official with knowledge of the investigation told the Times that the Justice Department was told Epstein would have a cellmate and be monitored by a guard every 30 minutes.

The mystery surrounding how he was able to kill himself in jail comes as investigators have been digging into allegations of sexual abuse and conspiracy against Epstein. An additional federal investigation was launched Saturday after the Federal Bureau of Prison said Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at a high-security jail in Manhattan. He was later pronounced dead from an apparent suicide, the BOP said. His abrupt death cuts short a criminal prosecution that could have pulled back the curtain on the inner workings of the high-flying financier with connections to celebrities and presidents, though prosecutors have vowed to continue investigating.

Epstein had been placed on suicide watch after he was found a little over two weeks ago with bruising on his neck, according to a person familiar with the matter who wasn’t authorized to discuss it publicly. But he was taken off the watch at the end of July and therefore wasn’t on it at the time of his death, the person said.

Money changes hands, taken off suicide watch, conveniently left alone, someone given access to complete the job that failed the first time. Rich scum happy. Sounds about right.

Where are Epstein’s lawyers?

This really highlights our journalist void in this country.

Yeah, the whole "they were tired from working overtime" line was pretty weak.
Walk around, look at prisoners, sit down...walk around, look at prisoners, sit down...

Whew! I'm SO tired!

“The man was marked for death and everyone knew it. AG Barr failed — utterly failed”

...or...depending on your point of view...he was quite successful.

Of course, the same MSM that fed us daily doses of "Russia, Russia, Russia" for the past three years is now accusing our side of "conspiracy theories".

We should respond with "Russia, Russia, Russia" every time they do.

I have a family member who was a criminal investigator for twenty years. In every fraud case the processes and procedures that would have prevented the fraud were already in place. They were circumvented or ignored in every case.

Having been in complex process driven manufacturing, every non-design related failure I recall diagnosing already had a process in place that would have prevented the failure. It was skipped or ignored.

Now, why is this the case? It could be laziness. Or, it could be that the process was so cumbersome that people who are rewarded for something other than following the process skip it to get their reward.

The guards, according to a UK paper, were on continuous overtime. There were two. They are supposed to check every prisoner every thirty minutes and every suicide watch candidate every fifteen. Continuous overtime and a ridiculous schedule that would keep them moving all the time? Really?

The only way, imo, would be erotic asphyxiation which doesn’t require the “rope” to hold much weight, doesn’t require a rafter or hook in the ceiling and doesn’t require anything to climb on and step off of. This would also fit with his sicko lifestyle so the sheeple would believe this manner of death.

However, the timeline doesn’t make sense. Ok, fine the guards may not have looked into his cell throughout the night but they had no excuse during wake up call. Wake up call is at 6 am, so either he’s dead or he’s up brushing his teeth. Turn out for breakfast is at 6:30. It seems he didn’t turn out at this time. So, if he was alive at 6, why would he hang himself at that time and run the risk of being resuscitated at second time? No, if he were intent on killing himself, he’d have done it in the middle of the night.

Interesting, too, is the cellmate had been transferred out so ALL ALONE for anything to happen with no witness.

Not necessarily. Suicide watch lasts for about 2-10 days. The previous incident was longer ago than 10 days.

Decades of personal knowledge - Prisons are notorious for being understaffed. You would not believe how often they have to run shift without the required legal number of staff. Not everyone is thrilled to show up to work when they get feces and urine thrown at them on a daily basis. The water being thrown on cops is a knock off of this.

Prison guards can make time and a half (your mileage may vary) picking up overtime. Nice money but it wears you out. Those particular guards will be fired but the practice will continue there and across the nation.

Update - FNC is reporting no one checked on Epstein for “several hours” that night. Ok, that fixes the timeline with the deed happening earlier in the night.

Lights out is at 11 pm.

This was a non-suicide suicide.

And somebody wants it to be OBVIOUS that this was a
non-suicide suicide.

As a warning to all the others.
