A new investigative report published by Powerline blog alleges Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) not only married her brother to curtail U.S. immigration law, but received asylum from Somali as a child after her family used a false name.
The report, written by David Steinberg, claims to Omar is one of five siblings in the Elmi family from Somalia who was granted asylum in the United States. Three of the siblings were granted asylum in the United Kingdom, while she and two other family members, including her father, were granted refuge in the U.S.
Steinberg purports to have evidence Omar was permitted in the United States only because she falsified her name.
“The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family,” he alleges.
Steinberg also affirms claims that the Minnesota congresswoman committed immigration fraud by marrying her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009. Her brother was granted asylum in the UK, but went on to study at North Dakota State University after being granted asylum through the fraudulent marriage to his sister.
Elmi allegedly lived with Omar and the father of her three children, Ahmed Hirsi. Public records show Omar divorced her alleged brother in 2017 then legally married Hirsi in 2018. The anti-Semitic lawmaker then committed tax fraud by jointly filing tax returns with Hirsi for 2014 and 2015 while she was still Elmi, a Minnesota ethics investigation confirms. She then compensated an attorney to obfuscate the fraudulence.

The genetic family split up at this time. The above three received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom. Ilhan later personally committed multiple frauds to get her brother US citizenship.

If it can be proven Illhan Omar lied applying for citizenship, she can be deported back to Somalia. Her project in improving her home country can then begin. For those unfamiliar with the facts, she allegedly used a sham marriage to a man who was, in fact, her brother to become a citizen here.

The naturalization interview is held "under oath," meaning that right from the start, you raise your right hand and swear to tell the truth. As you probably know, receiving U.S. citizenship via the process of naturalization requires proving good moral character.
Depending on what a person lied about and the implications for their immigration status, there could also be further consequences, including being placed in removal proceedings and ultimately deported from the United States. For example, if a man was to lie during the naturalization interview and say that he was still married to the woman who helped get him a green card--and the fact that he was actually divorced was not only discovered, but led to a finding that the entire marriage had been a fraud--removal would be the likely consequence.

Omar will be gone if the party decides she’s an albatross around their necks.
If she cooperates, is willing to play the victim card and get gone, fine.
If not, the ‘Rats will leak damning info thru the enemedia, then the enemedia will blame Pubbies for the leaks.
Guess it all depends on if someone else is running Omar. If not, the ‘Rats will go with the second option.
The law applies to the protected class when members of said class, the ones with more juice, need to use it as a bludgeon to get rid of upstarts who have become a problem.
The last one that comes to mind is Jesse Jackson Jr., who was convicted of wire and mail fraud and stealing $750,000 (at least) in campaign funds in 2013 (the height of the Obama Regime). He also committed (but was not charged) with perjury, conspiracy, and witness intimidation. I was shocked at the time he had to face the music, but you may be right about the Democrat and Dept of Injustice machine. Jackson was a liability because he was also an alcoholic, drug addicts, and bi-polar.
There wasn't much benefit of allowing him to bring others down with him.
Incarceration isn’t likely, I’ll grant you.
But the ‘Rats have two ways of dealing with people they really, really want gone: either they go away/ cooperate/resign, or they die.
If incarceration isn’t an option, either of those other two work for me.
