Math equity doesnt mean 1 + 1 = 2.
The term refers to the growing insistence among educators that teaching math in the classroom comes with some inherently biased methodology that must be addressed.
Proponents of math equity also stress the importance of social justice issues such as race, diversity and gender in math education a trend thats catching on.
More professors and educators are tweeting under the hashtag #MathEquity to share strategies on the topic, and webinars and other pedagogical sessions on it abound.

Ramon and his bud were discussing math on the street corner when the subject came to Pi.
Ramon tells his colleague that Pi R square.
His colleague politely corrected him.
Sir, Pi R round. Cornbread R square.
“Educators?”
More like left-wing scumbag indoctrinators.
I don’t know?
White chalk?
White boards?
Who knows?
And they did it with slide rules.......
Judging buy their typical skin color and typical math abilities, they need to be declared as Honkies.

I’m guessing the term ‘educators’ is used rather loosely here...
It is long past time to ABOLISH GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS. The system cannot be fixed; trying to fix it is a waste of time and money.
Get your children OUT. Homeschool or private schools are vastly superior.
Even in Boys in the Hood Lawrence Fishbourne tells the kids that the math part of the test was the only truly non-biased part.
If you can do math you must be a racist.
Don’t forget to not use a red pen to grade the papers. Some poor snowflake may end up triggered and have to take a time out in a safe place with a blanket, cup of herbal tea, and coloring book.
Time to shove some calculators up some leftist asses.
Whiteness in mathematics is pure bs.
Too many blacks have excellent math abilities.
My daughter was not ready to be a full-time mother, she has had to adapt. Her husband is very involved with the child rearing, which helps.
Now, the point of this story is that when the boy started at a new school, it was a school with a much higher rating than the one he had previously been attending. After less than a year in this new environment, he is one of the top students in reading comprehension. Also, he is at the top in math. The school our kids attend makes a big difference. So does the teacher.
My brother-in-law went to a teacher's conference for one of his kids. He spoke to the principal about not being happy with the teacher his child had gotten that year. The principal said that they try to make sure that a student doesn't get a "bad" teacher two years in a row. He went home and thought about that, and it was true. His daughter had a good teacher, then a bad teacher, then a good teacher, etc. What a system.
The fact they call math “whiteness” is nothing but racism.
But it’s easier to teach that math is racist.
Sending one’s children to Public School is ipso facto child abuse.
When one of my (homeschooled) kids went to college, one of his professors asked him to be a math tutor.
He ended up working through college as a tutor.
