A St. Louis couple said a wedding dress designer refused to make a garment for them, saying it goes against her faith.
Tiffany Allen and Angel Lane said they reached out to the New York-based company, D. AUXILLY, through e-mail to get some information. They said the designer, Dominique Galbraith, responded.....
""I wouldn't be able to make a piece for a same-sex wedding. It goes against my faith in Christ. I believe Jesus died for our sins so that we would live for him according to His Holy Word...."
Marcia McCormick, a professor with the St. Louis University School of Law said the company is violating the law.
"The dressmaker is violating New York State law..."

Taking bets on this as a premeditated singling out out the wedding dress designer.
The anti-Christian, hatemongering perverts continue to attack First Amendment rights in their efforts to destroy the United States.
Yep
I remember when homosexuals claimed that all they wanted was just to “be left alone.”
Hm. No tolerance for other faiths or perspectives. And now they use the power of the state to beat up on people who don’t go along with their lifestyle. That’s just fascist.
I’ll design their dresses for next to nothing. Synthetic tar-like resin and feathers over burlap. Part of my “Wind Beneath the Wings” series.
The wedding dress designer could simply accept the task on the basis that her stylistic view of “the art” must be paramount - and then sketch out a dress in rainbow colors rather than white since the “bride” is likely not a virgin. “You want something in white? Go to one of those lesser sources, like Nordstrom’s!” Make it as flamboyantly, over the top, dramatic as possible to ensure the couple never wants to see her again. Compliance with SJW demands can take off in all sorts of unplanned directions.
An effort to get the interstate commerce law (I think that is what it is called) to apply to social issues. Missouri, they will say, must apply NY’s law regardless of First Amendment protections...and/or NY based businesses must apply anti-1A laws across state lines.
They could have gone to another shop. They didn’t because they researched the shop owners and they are so filled with hate they do this on purpose. They might as well have horns growing out of their head.
All they need to do is pull out an old design and charge them $950,000.01 to make it.
Christians must adhere.
I agree. They probably searched the web for someone whose website included Christian terms or images.
That said, any Christian person in the wedding industry who isn’t aware of these ambushes should be, and could reply with something like, “Thank you for your inquiry, but my other commitments preclude my serving you at this time.”
Another obvious set-up. I’m sick to death of these people.
And then hope for an out of court settlement.
There was a famous I Love Lucy episode about this.
If only Christian conservatives had a bit more of the devil in them, we’d probably be left alone by SJWs.
I thought that most businesses reserved the right to refuse service to anyone without giving specific reasons....or does this only apply in certain circumstances??
OK, we’ve had just about enough of this - GET BACK IN THE DAMNED CLOSET!!
Democrats are evil scum.
The offended cake and dress buyer freaks are akin to staged auto accident scammers, looking for the next accident to occur.
I think it’s a set up, purposely done, and they knew ahead of time what the designers response would be.
