Michael Moore is warning Democrats about the "enormity of the fight" ahead of the 2020 election, saying the president "hasn't lost one inch of his fired-up insane base."
The filmmaker and liberal activist weighed in after watching Trump speak at his reelection campaign launch rally in Orlando on Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd of 20,000.
I watched the whole thing last night, Moore wrote to his more than 6 million followers on Twitter. I know no one wants to waste that kind of time even looking at him [Trump], but not wanting to see the enormity of the fight ahead doesnt make it go away. He hasnt lost one inch of his fired-up insane base. Are u ready?
Moore once predicted before the 2016 election that Trump would overcome long odds to defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who was widely favored in polls.
"Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president," the filmmaker wrote on his website at the time.
"President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, cause youll be saying them for the next four years: 'PRESIDENT TRUMP.'"
No presidential incumbent has lost reelection since George H.W. Bush in 1992, when Democrat Bill Clinton won comfortably in the electoral college, 370-168, despite only winning 43 percent of the popular vote. Bush finished with 38 percent of the vote, while independent Ross Perot took 19 percent of the vote.
Trump currently stands at 44.3 percent in the RealClearPolitics index of polls.
Duh, not only has he not lost a single supporter, his support has quietly GROWN!! Those that doubted him in 16, have seen he’s actually delivering and will pull the leaver happily for him in 2020.
This is why I LAUGH openly at polls showing any D winning or even within striking distance of Trump..
They can manipulate their turnout models, and expectations, and secret sauce all they like to manipulate the outcome of a race, but if they publish internals the only metric you need to look at is, if it tells you did they vote for Trump in 16, and plan on voting for someone else in 2020... and every poll that has published their internals has shown No, absolutely not.
Short of a complete economic meltdown (or something of the same significance that is unforeseen) happening between now and next November, Trump is going to win re=election in the biggest landslide since Reagan.
He will win every state he won in 16.
He will perform better in every state than he did in 16.
He will win most if not all of the states he got 45% of the vote or more of but lost in 16.
He will battle for states he got between 40 and 45% of the vote in 16 and likely get a few of them as well.
The age of the Karl Rove, surrender the map and thread the needle are OVER.
Trump will get 3-5 Million more votes in 20 than he did in 16 AT LEAST. And if the winds are just right, he’ll get many more.
Just saw something the other day, the predicting group that uses incumbency, history and the economy to predict the winner, and has never been wrong on the victor and damn close to accurate on the EC prediction... predicts that IF the election were held today Trump would win by a MARGIN in the EC of over 290 votes or something like that... No, that’s not how may EC votes he’d get, that’s how many MORE he would get than the Democratic candidate.
Now, I do expect Trump to win big, but I don’t expect it to be that big, just based on the segregation of the country and the party tribalism..However there is NO doubt Trump will win re-election by the largest margin since Reagan, and if the Dems decide to go with some whackadoo leftists as their candidate, expect him to handily get more total votes than any president before him.
And Moore hasn’t lost one inch of his 62” waist.
Moore is measuring us in inches . . . I resent your phallic-centric measurement of us fine people!!
Does this have anything to do with your choosing the last name Moore . . . did your really mean More?????
That is not nice! Why would you want to food poison those nice Cannibals?
Shouldn’t Moore of all people be happy about Trump? Trump has talked about fair trade and manufacturing, things that Moore himself talked about in the 90s.
If Michael Moore would move to another country, it might help the Democrats. These celebs who all said they would leave if Trump won, need to start taking action and show us they are real good on keeping their word.
MR. MOORE REMINDS ME OF PUKE!
MR. MOORE REMINDS ME OF PUKE!
And if voter rolls get cleaned up, deportables deported....
Moore got it in 16 and he still gets it... But, the Democrat leadership has marched off the deep end, so voices like his, are just ignored or drowned out... Not surprisingly, like myself he lives in the Rust Belt.
He saw Trump was going to win, just like I did, long before any of the flappy moose lipped overpaid punditry even contemplated that reality.
I WISH the GOP itself would LEARN FROM TRUMP! If they do, the Rust Belt will be as solid red as the south in short order.. but so far, they still seem like they haven’t learned a damn thing.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Give a man a fishy film producer and feed him for a lifetime.
How I read this is MI is doing very bad for the RATS.
Now we are Insane Deplorables
- -
I prefer the term Berserker Deplorables.
Moore is too heavily vested in his ideology to admit what he knows is the truth, it would be bad for his business.
He calls us insane? Seriously he and others like him have lost a grip on reality. I believe they meet daily with Satan who gives them his orders. God please protect our children's heart and minds have mercy on our country.
If Moore is calling me “insane”, then I really feel good about my mental health. He and I are 180 degrees apart on everything.
But, I am fired up about 2020.
Good song
Guy who looks and sounds like he’s stinking high on something has the audacity to call those middle-America folks who were in Orlando, and who are spread across the country, “insane?”
LOL, I think it would be a hoot if Trump used it for his campaign.
I’m sure the Cypress Hill folks wouldn’t like it. LOL!
‘Insane Deplorable.’
I can relate to that! :)
