Michael Moore is warning Democrats about the "enormity of the fight" ahead of the 2020 election, saying the president "hasn't lost one inch of his fired-up insane base."
The filmmaker and liberal activist weighed in after watching Trump speak at his reelection campaign launch rally in Orlando on Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd of 20,000.
“I watched the whole thing last night,” Moore wrote to his more than 6 million followers on Twitter. “I know no one wants to waste that kind of time even looking at him [Trump], but not wanting to see the enormity of the fight ahead doesn’t make it go away. He hasn’t lost one inch of his fired-up insane base. Are u ready?”
Moore once predicted before the 2016 election that Trump would overcome long odds to defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who was widely favored in polls.
"Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president," the filmmaker wrote on his website at the time.
"President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, ‘cause you’ll be saying them for the next four years: 'PRESIDENT TRUMP.'"
No presidential incumbent has lost reelection since George H.W. Bush in 1992, when Democrat Bill Clinton won comfortably in the electoral college, 370-168, despite only winning 43 percent of the popular vote. Bush finished with 38 percent of the vote, while independent Ross Perot took 19 percent of the vote.
Trump currently stands at 44.3 percent in the RealClearPolitics index of polls.

For once I agree with Moore.
Not only has Trump not lost any of his base, he’s GAINED a lot of support. A lot of former dems/libs are waking up to truth.
And although Perot was correct about many things, he was incorrect about electing Clinton - of course he knew what he was doing. Imagine a world where Bill & Hillary were defeated in '92. Yup, I'll say it. I would have preferred 4 more years of big spending, dark state Papa Bush to the start of the Clinton dynasty.
Now we are “Insane Deplorables”

The way I see it, there wasn’t a dime’s worth of difference between Bush and Clinton, just two different sides of the same coin.

Actually, There are times when Mike can be very perceptive about the president and the predominate mood of the country.
He correctly predicted the GOP victory in 2016.
He correctly predicted that AOC would become the erstwhile leader of the Democratic Party. If Nancy doesn’t watch it, she will soon be a SINO (Speaker In Name Only).
So, Hillary says we are deplorable. Schumer says we are despicable. And Moore says we are insane.
At some point, I am going to ask a Democrat friend which one I am. Or do I match several?
