I am so tired of Google thinking they CAN tell me what I think.
Alphabet is far more dangerous than Facebook or Twitter.
Bring the antitrust action. Break them.

Look, according to National Review’s readership, Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc are private companies and therefore allowed to hire and fire anyone they want. If this Republican engineer is unhappy, he can go build his own Google and compete in the market place of freedom!

I’m working on contract to a Fortune 500 retailer which has its HQ in San Francisco.
Employees are expected to embrace perversity, global warming and “sustainability”.
And it’s thrown in their face every day.
As a contractor I don’t have to deal with it much, just keep my mouth shut. But it’s a different culture that’s for sure.
And they will destroy anyone who says anything counter to it. And we’re talking JUST WORDS, not actions.
It’s religion. And they are devout.
Sue for wrongful termination / discrimination.

And contribute to the exposition of the terrible way that the Sainted Google operates.
I despise Google. Never use it willingly. Sometimes I am THROWN into it and that ticks me off.
These outrage mobs generate millions of clicks, thousands of posts, and probably make up a good percentage of Facebook traffic.
I guess Google would rather pay him a big settlement than change their ways.
I don’t use Amazon, Twatter or Apple.
I avoid Google.
Microsoft is less evil than the others.
Google is a monopoly, engaged in politics

I read Wacker’s open letter. It documents his charges of viewpoint discrimination very well. But it also makes me wonder if anybody actually gets any work done at Google. No company I ever worked for had politically based special interest groups for employees.
What can one expect from a company that is firmly against the whole concept of Free Speech?
Sounds like a serious lawsuit. I highly doubt that Google wants to go through any serious legal discovery ahead of an anti-trust lawsuit.
