The Clintons may have left a certain Washington address almost 20 years ago, but -- unlike most of their presidential predecessors -- the family has kept a home in the US capital since leaving the White House.
Now, Hillary is offering a rare glimpse into the pair's urban retreat, after she opened the doors of the neo-Georgian residence to Architectural Digest.
A series of exclusive photographs for Architectural Digest's site show off the property's airy conservatory and sizable swimming pool. An accompanying interview also sees the former Secretary of State recalling her first encounter with the home in 2000, the last full year Bill Clinton served as president.
"It was an emotional reaction," she's quoted as saying. "When I was elected to the Senate in 2000, I knew that I needed a place to live while we were in session during the year. So I began looking."

The Clintons have rarely been back to Arkansas after they went to the White House. Thye don’t have a home there. They left Arkansas behind for good.
Wouldn't be surprised if she has a copy of her thesis, she didn't want out, during the election or videos of her presentations she didn't want out, to Goldman Sachs.
Perhaps an enemies list and a Karl Marx manifesto original. Who knows what secrets the press does not wish to know.

Lots of money to be made in selling out the USA from a position of power...or implied power.
I always wondered how they were able to buy two mansions, one in Washington and one in New York. They were broke and actually in debt from legal bills when Bill left the White House.
How the heck did they get mortgages for the houses? Nobody ever asks how a dead broke couple departing the White House had such luxurious homes waiting for them.
I know they have made millions in the years after the White House, but at the time they acquired these properties, they supposedly didn’t have any money.

No kidding.
Clinton had defense technology transferred from DOD to the Dept of Commerce so it could be legally sold to China. That was about the time of a massive donation to Clinton from a cadre of Chinese nuns. You had to have a heart of stone not to laugh out loud.
And did he”secure” the mortgage legally? Or were strings pulled somehow to put the deal together?
Will we ever be rid of the Clintons?

Since she doesn’t stay home, and bake cookies or make tea, I guess there isn’t a kitchen in the house.
