Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a close ally of President Trump who has supported the presidents desire to pull U.S. troops out of the Middle East, says national security adviser John Bolton is a malign influence.
Paul, who believes the U.S. should reduce its military presence in Syria and Afghanistan, says he is alarmed by the recent mobilization of U.S. combat troops to counter what some Trump officials see as a rising threat posed by Iran.
Asked about Boltons role in the recent deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group and an Air Force bomber task force, Paul said, I fear that hes a malignancy, a malignant influence on the administration."

Rand Paul has always been a pu$$y when it comes to foreign affairs.
He always hides his head in the sand when times call for a tough stance.
[STFU Rand...]
I say so. It is none of our business. Yosemite Same should be gone and we need to weed out anyone in the state department with any loyalty to foreign nations.
More concern troll crap from enemies of President Trump...doing what they can to undermine the President and never investing a dime in what they claim to want...not much different that the Brennan/Comey group involved in the treason.
Its 2019, I wasnt born yesterday, and Ive seen this movie before.
He’s right on this topic.
Bolton is not a hard core conservative. Hes Bill Kristol with a mustache.
I am not looking at anything the wrong way.
I never said we WOULD fight the next war to win. What I said if IF we go to war we shouldn’t do it UNLESS we go all out to win.
I fully agree with you except partially with the Afghanistan bit.
I believe that the initial war in 2002 was good - we went in, removed an evil regime that was hurting its own people and exporting terror.
Where we made the mistake was not finishing the job by de-nuclearing Pakistan and killing Osama in Paki-land.
Iraq was a mistake from 1991.
Iran would be a big mistake - the Iranian people are fed up with their regime, but an attack by the US will only portray the Ayatollahs as “national defenders” - think of it this way, if Obama was in charge and someone attacked the US and Obambi said “I will fight them”, he’d then get the support even from the likes of us.
Rand was right
