As Trump barrels forward, Democrats are engaged in a furious argument over how to stop him. Many Democratic primary voters indicate they are ready to support the candidate most likely to defeat Trump, even over their personal favorite. Joe Biden has become the early front-runner because of a widespread sense that he is the safest bet to defeat Trump. Experienced and moderate, Scranton Joe is credited with having a special appeal to the white working-class voters that went to Trump, particularly in the
In fact, rather than the safest bet, Biden is more likely to end up the worst of all worldsunable either to excite the emerging Democratic coalition of young people, minorities, and women or to win back the Obama-Trump working-class voters. He could easily become the Democratic equivalent of Bob Dole, the hapless Republican Senate leader who lost badly to Bill Clintons reelection bid.

Not one of their choices is good, but Biden is awful.
Slight update for accuracy
Creepy Joe is their best bet?
LOLOLOL!!!!
Joe took the bait. The National Socialists want him to lose so they can then claim that the old establishment part of that party is dead and that only the “new” National socialist democrat wing of that party is the way.
Joe loses by a landslide and they then will claim that as proof.
Biden is the most sane candidate they have.
That’s not why he is likely to get the nomination.
Whoever gets the nomination will lose to Trump and damage their brand.
I suspect most democrats want their candidate to do well but come out second in the primaries.
It’s early yet...but the trending narrative, imo, is that Hillary was robbed. The wrong must be righted!
And she did win the popular vote, no doubt with help from illegal and dead voters.
So she might try again, after all. She’s less implausible than Biden. She’s only been losing since 2008. He’s been losing twice as long.
It remains to be seen whether the Big Purses will accommodate her. She might need an extra push from sympathy voters, too, and her spouse is looking moribund...
Another good reason: becoming a candidate affords some protection against prosecution.
A few months ago I’d have said no way, another Clinton run. Now, it’s 50/50.
If BJ kicks the bucket, her odds would improve, I think.
Oh but we want Biden, don’t we?

You’re right. Then Hillary could add “grieving, but strong, widow” to her list of pretend characters.
Side note to Bill: Cyanide tastes like bitter almonds.
Scranton Joe? Nah! That is Grandpa Groper Joe!
Scranton Joe? Nah! That is Grandpa Groper Joe!
MUHUHAHAHAHAAAA...
I’ve said a Hellary redux since the day after she lost. It may take some creative corruption to get the nomination. If she’s breathing she’s running. She’ll just up the corruption level each time, until she either succeeds, dies or Chelsea picks up the broom.
I am not putting it past Clinton to try again sweeping in at the last minute to save them
Not surprised the open communists at The Nation would disapprove of Biden. Even though they loved him as Obama’s Veep, he’s too mainstream. They got fat and happy during eight years of the communist usurper. They think America really wants them.
Yes, but her loses were much more spectacular than Joe’s. No one ever expected him to win.
I suspect any Democratic presidential candidate for 2020 who is under the age of 55 is actually running now to be the front-runner in 2024.
but, but... cnn tells us that Trump is terrified of creepy Joe Biden.
LMAO
Yes. Hillary will run again. It's in her blood.
She'll say she's trying to save the Dem party and the country. But she's only trying to save herself.
