I'll take a swing at this. First, I accept that the women who contribute to President Trump view him as an acceptable leader in things like the economy, health care, national security and border security. None of the candidates of either party can demonstrate some magical plans that are convincingly better than what President Trump is doing.
But I also sense a more subtle, but strong, motivation. I think women in general abhor Kamala Harris, AOC, Omar, and Tlaib. Now of the four, Harris is running for President, and I think that women know her history, and she disgusts them. Of the other three, their high profiles anger women. They are viewed as either shockingly ignorant, AOC for example, or in the cases of Omar and Tlaib, virulently anti United States.
I wouldn't try to predict the chances of any of these females on winning future re-election, but for now they are a huge negative blowtorch to the Democrats.

Great post. And I agree.
I don’t much care if AOC and Omar win their seats again, which they likely will.
They ARE overwhelmingly approved of in their districts. Who do we think voted them in, in the first place?
They did not lie about what they were.
And those seats were ABSOLUTE dem seats anyway.
The bonus is we get two women who keep CONSTANTLY hurting their party and throwing intelligent women’s votes our way.
Along with a bigger slice of the Jewish vote, I am hoping, because of Omar.

I wouldn’t exclude her as a negative. I just think that the others I mentioned are the primary lightning rods that the Democrats simply don’t need at this time.

Hunt was discussing a Wall Street Journal-NBC News poll on Morning Joe Wednesday and said women are energized to vote against the Trump administration. The poll showed Trump with a 38 percent approval rating among women. The president cant get re-elected with those numbers among women. Its just not possible, she said.
I mean they make up more than 50 percent of the electorate. We saw what happened in 2018, Hunt continued. Women energized to run against him and, you know, women who got out to vote and they voted against him pretty overwhelmingly. And I think that says a lot. And I dont think you heard a lot of legitimate strategy there from [Trump 2020 senior adviser] Lara Trump in terms of how to kind of shift the winds here.
We can discount the source of this fake news except for the portion set out in bold:
We saw what happened in 2018
I have been harping on this were some time now, that the difference between the election in 2016 and 2018 was 1) diminished African-American vote in 2016 and increased African-American vote in 2018, and 2) increased women vote, especially educated white suburban women for Democrat candidates in 2018, costing us the house.
I don't know what to make of the criticism of Lara Trump for failing to publicize a "legitimate strategy" for 2020 to remedy this problem.
I feel encouraged that the contributions from women to Trump are in small amounts indicating that perhaps the populist strategy to draw in blue-collar, Reagan Democrats in the Rust Belt is still viable and perhaps even making inroads with these women suggesting an improved performance over 2016.

Individual donors are only itemized with the FEC once they reach at least $200 in donations to a particular candidate. If donations aren't tracked below $200, how can the average Trump donation be $141?

I agree and I would also add that the millennial a@@hole vote Really turned out in 2018.
Throw in fraud, outright cheating and absurd gerrymmandering and that account for at least a few of the seats lost too.
I am under NO illusion we would have held the house anyway.
But we wouldn’t have had to win so many seats back in 2020!!
And that was part of the dem strategy too.
They also did what they say that are afraid Trump will do.
They don’t admit defeat in too many instances!!
Because there’s ALWAYS another vote to be found if you hold out long enough.
If you’r a dem.
