Yeah, why Roy Moore when we could have another Susan Collins.
How do you win the vice presidency?
Trump won 30 states in 2016. So in theory 60 seats for the GOP could happen one day.
McSally in Arizona is likely to have a terrible opponent. Unfortunately, she may be even worse.
North Carolina is left leaning state? I agree with the other two, but North Carolina is slightly purple at worst, but far from "left leaning".
We’re defending more seats, aren’t we? Keep it at 53 and we’ll be thrilled, with a Trump reelection and win back the House. Then have some fun and we all troll AOC for being the cause of the loss of the House.

If he wins he will be back bashing President Trump within 48 hours. I will admit my mistake if he does not but history is on my side. He is a corrupt professional politician and nothing more.
Sure hope Tillis has a strong challenger in the primary so we can send him home. What a mistake he’s been.

could defeat MN Smith if Trump takes MN
Lets face it, folks. The GOP blew a huge opportunity in 2018 when they failed to win more Senate races that were very winnable.
If they win the Senate and hold the house then kiss the Trump admin and MAGA goodbye.
If she doesn't die in the next six months, Democrats will insist on the Biden Rule in 2020.

Doug Jones is DOA....
So Dems would need to take at least 4 to put the Senate at 50-50 and 5 to take control (because Trump ain’t losing).
And other than Collins being taken out for her vote for Kavanaugh. I don’t see any other GOP being in any real threat in 2020.. unless some scandal would pop up or something.
So, my guess is, Jones is replaced by a GOP, and Collins possibly being flipped... for a wash. McSally would be a wild card since she lost before, incumbency may not be enough for her to hold the seat..
So, worst case, Dems net +1.
Udall will be an uncontested seat, so that’s a possible opening for a GOP pickup.. to make 2020 a wash.
Not to disparage the MSM, but they should do a little more research. Right now, the only competition for Collins consists of a Travel Agent, and a lawyer who identifies as a "Queer Feminist Mermaid".
Seriously. Not making this stuff up.
Unless McSally fires the ex-McCain advisors, she is going to loose.
Do Republicans have a chance in NM?
Virginia will be one of the fiercest races? In what alternative reality will that occur? In this blue state, Mark Warner will be in that Senate seat until he's good and ready to leave.
