A Massachusetts judge has left court in tears after being indicted on obstruction of justice charges for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant evade immigration officials.
Judge Shelley M Richmond Joseph and trial court officer Wesley MacGregor are accused of conspiring to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from taking an undocumented immigrant into custody at Newton District Court on April 2, 2018.
Joseph had allegedly ordered the courtroom recording device to be turned off for 52 seconds while she and the defendant Jose Medina-Perez's lawyer had a conversation about getting him out of the courthouse instead of handing him over to an ICE officer, according to the indictment. MacGregor allegedly used his access badge to release Medina-Perez through a rear door.
Joseph was seen crying when she left federal court in Boston Thursday.
According to CBS, Joseph's attorney Tom Hoopes said outside court: 'This prosecution is absolutely political, Shelley Joseph is absolutely innocent.'

Throw her ass in prison for as long as possible, disbar her and remove her from the bench.
She is inidicative of the problem with the judiciary: she thinks she has been made above the law. The law is what he says it is even if the words and precedent all say otherwise. Don't like it? Tough, judges are unaccountable to suck it, peons and do what your told.
About time someone said "you are lawless, judge, and there are consequences." I hope the feds pursue this all the way and don't blink because she cried and the public gets misty thinking about the poor helpless scared woman crying after being railroaded by the big bad men from the government.
Do I ever agree. People like this judge are Domestic Enemies of this country. And I don’t say that because I disagree with them politically, and I don’t say it lightly or rhetorically, either.
I say that because, as demonstrated by the actions of this judge, they are, in their positions of power, trying to destroy the fabric of law, which is VITAL to a republic such as ours.
A Republic is a government of LAWS, not a government of MEN. The actions of this corrupt, anti-American judge work to destroy a government of law.
I hope she enjoys prison.

She’s a Dim. It’s either political prosecution, racism, or sexism. Never because what they did was a crime.
When you boil it down, Massachusetts is “the mothership” of all that”s wrong with America! With Boston’s 27 “institutions of higher learning,” it turns out the bulk of the human waste that spreads out across our country and infects it.
