General Michael Flynn may be the key to uncovering and prosecuting the Deep State attempted coup
American Thinker ^ | April 5, 2019 | Thomas Lifson

Posted on 04/05/2019 1:08:21 PM PDT by detective

The Russia Hoax attempted coup involved senior figures in the "intelligence community," the very people whom Chuck Schumer, in a moment of candor, warned Donald Trump — before he was inaugurated as president — about opposing, suggesting that a sinister cabal of officials actually runs the country. Speaking to Rachel Maddow, who became perhaps the most dedicated promoter of the hoax (for fun and ratings), he warned the incoming chief executive:

"Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you," Schumer told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

One rock that needs to be turned over is the collaboration among intelligence agencies mentioned in the infamous Strzok-Page text messages. Remember that the FBI counter-intelligence operation where Peter Strzok was second-in-command was meeting with unnamed intelligence agencies with regard to the "insurance policy."

The attempt by intelligence agencies to unseat a president they disagreed with over policy is about as serious as it gets when it comes to scandal. If properly uncovered and prosecuted, it has the potential to alter the course of American politics.

Perjery trapping an NSA director IN the White House is just beyond the pale. Men have hung for less. A LOT less.

I’m sure General Flynn would just like to have his regular life back.

Justice MUST be served. The punishment for this must be so brutal and severe that it is never attempted again.

If they get away with it, next time they do it will make this time look like child’s play.

I liked this article. Lifson’s reasoning makes sense to me. Once LTG Flynn released DIA’s analysis of ISIS in 2012, which contradicted the Obama campaign theme, he was ‘dead meat’ and thus fired by Obama (via being told that his term as head of DIA would be his LAST job). When he went to the NSA head and warned that Admiral of Obama’s misuse of intelligence, the long knives of Obama’s DOJ supporters came out after him.

Today I was listening to Comey in a PBS interview June 8 2017 with Little George Stephanie.

Now I have always said he actually wore a wire to his meets with the President.

Speaking to George....who had asked him about Flynn and the President's "Let him go" statement.....Comey said "I recorded it correctly"

I think this points to a transcription (via ear bud) not typing into his computer as soon as he got to his car.....like he said.

Why did he use that word....record?? It's really out of place.

I also remember Comey's "overkill" reaction to the President saying..."What if I have tapes". Something like "Oh Lordy.....I hope so".

Lots of Deep Staters deserve Mussolini’s end. The continuance of our republic depends on their righteous punishment.

I don't agree with this take. I think what happened to Flynn is an absolute travesty, but isn't "key" or "a key" to anything.

Flynn got caught in a 95% routine "trap"; and it was no doubt a deliberately set trap and probably it was motivated by leftover animus from 0bama and Brennan but those things aren't illegal. They may be completely deplorable but they are not illegal. It is routine that his calls with Kislyak were monitored. I am not going to say "he should have known" because undoubtedly he DID know. I think Flynn underestimated the depth of the revenge motive; the breadth of just how vicious elements within the IC would get with him, and probably thought his outstanding record would float his boat. He was wrong and he WAS wronged.

For something to be "key" to unraveling this affair, there has to be some very serious illegality; for example, the fake FISA renewals. Who the f*** signed those? SWAT raid on that ones home. What about all the unmaskings by Nuland and Susan Rice? That they testified they did not sign but whose signatures were on the unmasking requests. How come that impossibility escaped Trey Gowdyand Darrell Issa?

I have to wonder about the intent and purpose of any further breathless exposes. There's really nothing left to discuss; either Trump is going to do something, or he's not. It's really out of our hands.

Think how much different history would have been if Lincoln hadn't responded to the attack on Ft Sumter. Did it require endless discussions/analyses of what took place, or was it really just a matter of determining whether or not there would be a reaction?

For anyone interested in self preservation, they should be curious about the pending outcome. If Trump decides not to pursue the conspirators, I'm sort of OK with that. I was very skeptical about Trump and the US back in 2015 when a relative suggested watching one of his earliest rallies on TV. I knew what he was saying, and eventually warmed up, but if Trump backs off, it's not like I have a lot invested.

I just like to make plans and be prepared. I plan on making $hay however this goes down.

There is an evidence rule about past recollection recorded. Most of what it addresses is some kind of written record. He probably picked up the usage from all the lawyers he’s had to consult to keep out of the slammer - so far.

It’s ok to just say it.

The punishment must be death. There are many that must die for their attempted coup. Absent death, they will continue their efforts.

Prison will be pardoned. Death is forever

I’m fine with that. I’m also fine with seeing to it myself if those with authority and responsibility fail to do so.

I'm aware....He said because he typed his recollection right away, it could be used as evidence. That's common knowledge in LE.

Here's my problem. The mere fact that he typed it up in the car....tells me he was indeed trying to set up the President.

And another thing...I'm sure Comey and every one else knew he was going to get canned....

And remember, Comey was going to the President to warn him about the Steele Dossier....which had not been checked out. The President told check it out. Comey ignored him.

FLynn’s recorded conversation with the Russian ambassador was leaked. Let me rephrase that....

General Flynn’s phone call with the Russian ambassador was intercepted by American intelligence, which classified it as Top Secret. General Flynn was unmasked and portions of that Top Secret intelligence product was leaked (Felony) to the US media.

Uh, yas, this is a big deal. Find out who did this to Flynn and you are finally near the roots.
