This tells us exactly how AOC got elected to Congress to begin with - stupid constituents. Why are they asking a House of Representative member to help them clean up their territory or save an animal shelter? They don’t have city council members to contact?

If I had a problem in my community that the local government couldn’t/wouldn’t take care of, the last person I would contact would be my congressman. You go to City Hall or Board of Supervisors and make noise - lots of it!
A Representative may be able to help constituents who have problems with federal agencies; VA, Social Security etc., but local problems - doubtful!
I’m still waiting for my congressman to tell me WHY we continue to pay current members who are out campaigning for president instead of being at their seats in Congress - doing the job they were actually hired to do. Nice gig if you can get it but who in the private sector gets paid when they take off work to go look for another job?
Remember, these folks thought that she would be their Saviour. Perhaps they’ll call her office when a waiter brings the wrong meal to their table.

To be fair, some of these complaints have to do with local issues that a Congress-critter wouldn’t normally have any authority over.
There is plenty wrong with AOC (like kicking Amazon out and pushing a completely bizarre Green New Deal) without manufacturing complaints.
She’s planning on a trip to the Wizard to get one.

Though I would think Park Cleanup would fall to your local government, not the feds... and other than finding a few bucks from WAM to give to the animal shelter, not sure what a congress person could do about that either.
Technically it has been months now... but she could have been trying to reach her before she officially was sworn in as well

I bet the previous democrat had a great constituent service. He probably ran offices for them, answered all the e-mails, and made things happen for his district.
Too bad he forgot that sometimes you have to campaign, because apparently young people don’t actually consider what the government is here for when they vote.
