One can spend several days trying not to overreact to President Trump’s latest, unprovoked tweetstorm against the late Sen. John McCain R-Ariz., yet still conclude that there is something sick and twisted about Trump’s obsession with the singular American hero Trump disparages.
Tom Rogan already in these pages has eloquently explained why, fake heel spurs or no fake heel spurs, Trump could never be fit to wear McCain’s discarded shoes. And lawyer George Conway, husband of top Trump aide Kellyanne Conway, has presented a persuasive case that Trump’s fulminations about McCain and other bizarre eruptions are signs of a personality disorder.
What remains, though, is a reminder that on facts as well as fulminations, Trump’s flip-out against McCain is full of falsehoods.
First, as many others have noted, Trump repeatedly accused McCain of trying to spread the so-called “Steele dossier” as a way to block Trump’s election, but the undisputed evidence shows McCain didn’t even become aware of the dossier until after Election Day. (Plus, McCain did exactly what a senator should do when provided such material: He turned it over to the FBI, without prejudice. But that’s beside the point about Trump’s dishonesty.)
What has not been as adequately refuted is Trump’s allegation that McCain voted against a bill to “repeal and replace” Obamacare, and that McCain’s vote was a big surprise. Neither element of that story is true.
First, by the time a healthcare bill finally reached a vote in the Senate, it was in no way, shape or form a “repeal and replace” bill. In reality, it was a shell of a bill known as “skinny repeal,” which did next to nothing other than keep...

Ross Perot’s campaign mgr was in the Hanoi Hilton with McCain. He was telling the truth about him and Perot made him stop. He knew slamming a so called war hero wouldn’t help his campaign.
McCain crashed Two planes, one in training. His father beiig an admiral kept him from being washed out.
When he accepted the nomination he said about the Vietnamese “They broke me.” He was afraid the truth was going to come out. If he had gotten close in the polls to Obama the truth would have come out and he would have been proven a fraud. I can only imagine what the Clinton machine would have done to him if she had run against him.
Simply do a search about him and start reading. Some I’m sure you should take with a grain of salt. But read about the Vietnamese peasant who saved him from being beaten to death by the villagers. He wanted to meet McCain when he visited Vietnam and McCain refused to even thank the man.
And those injuries weren’t from being tortured. They were all from the ejection.
One more thing, he was shot down because he was hot dogging and flying too low. He mentioned at the beginning if his acceptance speech that he had the swagger of a fighter pilot “but they broke me.”
As I said, the Never Trumpers are out today, lol!

For too long, the dems can do any dastardly deeds, and the reps have acquiesced and took it. Now we have someone who doesn’t lay down and be the patsy. We wanted a fighter.. we got one. She has attacked Trump for many months starting at the funeral. He has always shown restraint towards her as a grieving daughter. McCain’s actions in bringing a dossier that he knew was paid for by Clinton into the FBI outside of normal channels because he knew it wouldn’t stand scrutiny are just coming out. President Trump commented on those actions, these were not unwarranted comments or unfair. Meghan McCain went ballistic but still POTUS is restrained because she is a daughter defending her father. President Trump communicates on social media to get the truth out. This is a truth.

Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier “is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain.” Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel. He had far worse “stains” than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!

So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) “last in his class” (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!
McCain deserved every syllable and more. I once had respect for the man and I still respect his service. The man was a hateful, selfish lying a$$hole and I am sure that he is steaming in hell even as I type this.
Oh, and his dumbs&&t daughter should just shut her fat face. I have lost what little respect I once had for her.
But McCain did have cause to damage Trump: First, Trump publicly called McCain a loser for losing to Obammy. Second, Trump publicly stated that McCain is only a "war hero" because he was captured, and that he doesn't like people who are captured. Third, Trump accomplished something that McCain failed to achieve -- winning the election for POTUS. McCain, being the small, petty, vengeful, narcissistic turd that he was could never get over these "insults" and that's why he orchestrated a coup to take down our president.
The man divorced his injured wife, raising 3 sons alone while he was imprisoned, to marry a heiress before the divorce was even final. (recent news drop)
With that in mind I believe there was also money involved as a motivating force.

Above all that? You mean the biggest political scandal in American history where people like McCain tried to remove him from office in an attempted coup? The American people need to know all the details, including naming all of the participants and what they did. McCain was part of the plot. The recent unsealed testimony of McCain aide, Kramer, should be known far and wide.
This isn’t about being a “bigger man”, but rather revealing a vile plot not only against Trump, but the 63 million Americans who voted for him.
