Ross Perot’s campaign mgr was in the Hanoi Hilton with McCain. He was telling the truth about him and Perot made him stop. He knew slamming a so called war hero wouldn’t help his campaign.
McCain crashed Two planes, one in training. His father beiig an admiral kept him from being washed out.
When he accepted the nomination he said about the Vietnamese “They broke me.” He was afraid the truth was going to come out. If he had gotten close in the polls to Obama the truth would have come out and he would have been proven a fraud. I can only imagine what the Clinton machine would have done to him if she had run against him.
Simply do a search about him and start reading. Some I’m sure you should take with a grain of salt. But read about the Vietnamese peasant who saved him from being beaten to death by the villagers. He wanted to meet McCain when he visited Vietnam and McCain refused to even thank the man.
And those injuries weren’t from being tortured. They were all from the ejection.
One more thing, he was shot down because he was hot dogging and flying too low. He mentioned at the beginning if his acceptance speech that he had the swagger of a fighter pilot “but they broke me.”
Thanks for the info. I’ll have to look into all this myself so I’ll be googling today. It seems from what you wrote, that refusing to thank people is a McCain family trait. Isn’t that sad?
