Current Chicago Mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel penned an opinion piece in The Atlantic on Thursday, condemning Rep. Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitic comments.
Emanuel's position is far different than other Democrats who say Omar's comments weren't anti-Semitic but rather a criticism of Israel. The Chicago Mayor was blunt about his position, saying, "Her remarks are not anti-Israel; they are anti-Semitic."
No one is questioning the right of members of Congress and others to criticize Israeli policies. But Omar is crossing a line that should not be crossed in political discourse. Her remarks are not anti-Israel; they are anti-Semitic.
Whether consciously or not, Representative Omar is repeating some of the ugliest stereotypes about Jewstropes that have been unleashed by anti-Semites throughout history. She is casting Jewish Americans as the other, suggesting a dual loyalty that calls our devotion to America into question.
He also explained why Omar's comments bother him:
Maybe Im sensitive to this charge of dual allegiance because its been wielded against me in some of my political campaigns. Ive been accused of actually being a citizen of Israel. (Thats not true, although my father was an Israeli immigrant to the United States.) In 2002, well before Donald Trump and other birthers questioned Barack Obamas citizenship, I had to produce my U.S. birth certificate in my first run for Congress to disprove false assertions about my background and loyalties.
But its not just me whos been subject to questions of dual loyalty. For centuries, this trope has been aimed at Jews in countries around the world. In embracing it, Omar is associating herself with calamities from the Spanish Inquisition to the Russian pogroms to the Holocaust. Thats not historical company that any American should want to keep.
One doesnt have to be Jewish to recognize the deep and abiding relationship between the United States and Israel. Yes, there might be serious problems with Israels democracyjust as were currently experiencing our own. But Israel shares fundamental values with the United States that most of its neighbors have never embraced.
In Israel, women can vote and serve in the armed forces. So can members of the LGBTQ community. Its Arab citizens can vote, form political parties, and serve in the Israeli Parliament. And Israeli women can drivejust as badly as the rest of the population.
But he made one thing very clear: a politician can be critical of Israel without being anti-Semitic:
As for Jewish Americans who support Israel as a friend and ally of the United States, we do so because we recognize the commonality of our values and national interests. And many of us dont hesitate to criticize Israel when its policies are wrongor to champion American interests when they come into tension with Israeli goals.
Yes, Omar has to overcome some adversities for being a Muslim in Congress but that doesn't mean that she should be given a pass for the remarks she's made. At least someone in the Democratic Party isn't afraid to call Omar what she is. We have to give Emanuel credit for that.
So where was Rahmbo’s damning op-ed excoriating Obama over abstaining at the UN’s anti-Israel vote for the anti-settlement” resolution number 2334, instead of vetoing it?
As a redneck from southern Mississippi who was raised a Methodist I almost loathe to say that I agree with anything Rahm Emanuel says, but he’s right.
As much as the democrats are loathe to censure their latest media darling there’s no way to spin Iihan Omar’s disgusting comments as anything other than pure anti-semitism. It’s just a fact and attempting to paint it otherwise just makes them look more petty, which is a feat considering their behavior over the last two years.
By all means let them continue though, it shows their true colors, as though that needed any more evidence.
In this version, the liberal frog begs to give the Muslim scorpion a ride across the river to demonstrate that it's not racist, and believes that all creatures are equal, and to prove it's moral superiority to other creatures who refuse to help the scorpion.
The ending is the same as in the original story... But the scorpion always claims victimhood.
I read his Atlantic op-ed. He ties himself in knots to prove by assertion that he is not a “self-hating Jew” by going along with Obama with respect to “settlements” (which are not illegal per the Oslo Accords, but when has the communistic UN ever been consistent?), but the “dual loyalty” matter is suddenly a bridge too far for him. He’s talking out of both sides of his mouth, which is not a first for him.
For “dual loyalty matter”, read “dual loyalty accusation”.
Why does EVERYONE, from Emanuel to Pelosi to even Steve Scalise, keep saying Omar doesn't know or understand what she's doing? She's not a child. She's 37! She's been saying this for YEARS. She knows EXACTLY what she's doing.
=========
Yes, indeed she does.
What is coming out of her mouth is what is deep within her heart: a long abiding hatred of all things Jewish. It's what they are and she is a willing spokesperson for that hatred.
What folks need to understand is that Rahm, and his brother (Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel) were the ones who created Obama from Day 1. Obama was a nobody - not even on the national scene.
The Rahm brothers had all the connections (politically, in Hollywood, and the media empires). The went to the power that be in the Deep State and in media, and presented their blank slate Obama. According to sources, Barry Obama was scared, because of all the trash in his history. But the Rahm brothers assured him they could pull it off.
When Barry Hussein ran for the IL Senate seat, it was Rahm Emmanuel that pulled the strings (and a used a corrupt judge) to unseal the divorce records of his opponent that destroyed his candidacy. Jerri Ryan used to frequent sex clubs with her husband Jack Ryan. They had those details sealed in court to protect their child, but the corrupt judge unsealed them to help Obama. Ryan was forced to drop out, and Alan Keyes took up a last minute candidacy that was defeated by Obama in the Senate race.

This is the kind of "work" the Emmanuel brothers do.
Rahm is now the powerful mayor of Chicago, and his brother Ari is still a Hollywood super agent. But that's just on the surface. They make or break politicians, still.
For Rahm to come out in public against the Muslim kook, it tells me something is up.
Rahm getting ready to throw his hat in the ring?
Rahm - She’s not an American.
In name only? - not really.
Well, apparently with this screed, the democrats will ditch him. The media is already making more vocal a few leftist jews who are excusing her and blaming republicans. Those are the puppets the democrat islamoleftists will push forward.
I relish Emanuel’s discomfiture. Over the years he has had no problem trying to cast law abiding gun owners as the “other”.
Two comments:
Comment the first: Rahm, please tell us who it was that was asking about your birth and hurling anti-Semitic slurs at you? Was it your friends on the Left? Or was it people on the Right? (I suspect it was Leftists)
Comment the second: And it was the third Emannual brother who wrote the Obamacare screed with which we all have to tolerate now. And also said people have the moral obligation to avoid using healthcare after age 75, when they are no longer productive (paraphrase)
The Emannual brothers are a pox on this nation. And not because they are Jewish. Its because they are part of the destructive Left.
“Whether consciously or not, Representative Omar is repeating some of the ugliest stereotypes about Jewstropes that have been unleashed by anti-Semites throughout history.”
“”Whether consciously or not...”
This is possible, which was why Ms. Omar was given a chance to apologize off the bat. I suspect that most Muslims, while of course brainwashed to hate Jews, have no idea where all of the tropes come from, and don’t care. Ms. Omar is likely one of them. Had she said something like “I didn’t realize that the things that I was saying was said in the past, just prior to programs and genocides, and I apologize for that” - had she said that (and, of course, shut up after that), it all would have ended there.
It’s the fact that she continues, even after being told the history of what she’s saying - that’s what scares the hell out of Jews.
America’s very own NATIONAL SOCIALISTS.
