As candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s star began to rise last summer thanks to wall-to-wall coverage from an adoring, enthused media, many of whom were claiming that she was going to be the new face of the Democratic Party (if not the Democratic Left), some older party hands were having none of it.
Rank-and-file establishment Democrats and former Democrats lined up to oppose Ocasio-Cortez’s agenda and even her candidacy after she unexpectedly defeated 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley, who was widely expected to step into the party’s leadership (and perhaps even as Speaker once Dems won the House back).
“Meteors fizz out,” said Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., said, as reported by The Hill.
“What she will learn in this institution is that it’s glacial to begin with, and therefore no matter how far you rise, that’s just how far you will ultimately get your comeuppance. You come up here and you’re going to be buddy-buddy with all the folks or you’re just going to make them do certain things? Ain’t happening, OK?”

Hang them around the neck of every democrat candidate in 2020. Put out mailers in Jewish neighborhoods featuring the local candidate and the muzzies, with choice quotes by the Muzzi, and a ‘vote for team so we can finish the job’ message.

The Democrats don’t have leaders, they have enablers.
By refusing to remove the anti-Semitic Ilhan Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Nancy Pelosi provides her with free rein to continue her anti-Semitism.
And by not rebuking her, Jewish Democrats like Chuck Schumer also give her a green light to continue her attacks on Jews and Israel and help her build an ever-increasing anti-Semitic faction in Congress.
“She won the primary by 17,000 votes in a very low turnout contest. After that she virtually ran uncontested in the election. Now she acts as if she got millions of votes in a national election.”
She could probably win the Democrat Primary next year for President, were she old enough to run. Her followers in the party are HUGE in number and ADORE HER.
Do NOT underestimate her.
Not one Jewish Democrat in Congress or the Senate applauded Trump for moving the US embassy to Jerusalem. They deserve to have to tap dance around their party’s newest rock stars.
In spite of how annoying the Dems are in their efforts to thwart the people’s and president Trump’s MAGA agenda, it’s quite encouraging to see the pickle the Dem party is in. The moderate leadership knows the young left extremist cant win an election on a socialist agenda, but they also know the moderate leadership can’t win without the hard left base. So they are eff’ed in 2020. This is why they want to keep the invaders coming through the border. They need illegal votes and cheating to avoid the smack down they are headed towards. Illegal voting is their only hope.
