Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Tlaib alert: They're wearing on Dem leaders already as rebukes increase
The National Sentinel ^ | 3/5/19 | Jon Dougherty

Full headline: Freshmen Democrat Leftists already wearing thin on establishment as rebukes of Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Tlaib increase

As candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s star began to rise last summer thanks to wall-to-wall coverage from an adoring, enthused media, many of whom were claiming that she was going to be the new face of the Democratic Party (if not the Democratic Left), some older party hands were having none of it.

Rank-and-file establishment Democrats and former Democrats lined up to oppose Ocasio-Cortez’s agenda and even her candidacy after she unexpectedly defeated 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley, who was widely expected to step into the party’s leadership (and perhaps even as Speaker once Dems won the House back).

“Meteors fizz out,” said Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., said, as reported by The Hill.

“What she will learn in this institution is that it’s glacial to begin with, and therefore no matter how far you rise, that’s just how far you will ultimately get your comeuppance. You come up here and you’re going to be buddy-buddy with all the folks or you’re just going to make them do certain things? Ain’t happening, OK?”

Even if they could get rid of them there’d be someone to take their place.

I’m wondering how many moderates and slightly left-of-center Democrats are thinking, “Yea, I like the direction our party is heading with the likes of these communists. I can’t wait to vote for more of this!”

If that money diversion scheme goes South, OAC won’t last long.

She’s just too hot a potato for the Left.

She’s also just stupid enough to have gotten herself entangled in a crooked money scheme.

Ouch...

I’d like to think she’d keep hurting the left, but her daily comments are starting to gnaw away at functioning brain tissue, and these days I can’t afford that. Smile...

Shock troops.

Yup. She represents the 50% of Americans + illegals who vote, who are bag-of-hammers dumb and are proud of that fact. Pretend that they don't exist at your own peril.

AOC is the smartest, most popular, and craftiest of the three

She also made a big enemy. DeBlasio. Not that I like him but hey, pull up a chair and some popcorn!

I wasn’t aware of the dynamics of the De Blasio angle on this.

As you said though, this is certainly a popcorn and soda moment.

He’s mad because she caused NY to lose Amazon.

Mad isn’t the word for it.

They may be wearing thin, but the Dems always stay solid together. Nothing significant will happen to them re: their peers in Congress.

I predict they have already garnered a substantial following and they will not give two jits for the reprimand.

The stupid party has sown a mighty wind and unfortunately, the entire nation will suffer along with them because of their TDS.

Neither pelosi nor schumer has any control over these very loose cannons.

In politics like in the corporate world (and redundantly, organized crime), people spending years of their precious career time do not lightly step aside and sit in the back row applauding while a recently hired young punk just out of college takes their rightful position in the promotion line ahead of them.

One or more old timers is not going to accept the fact the brainless, arrogant, pushy punks do not respectfully wait to learn the ropes and pecking order, but elbow their way to the front of the line and the cameras.

Our great hope now is a big split into 2 or 3 factions of leftists and , we may pray, third and fourth party people on the ballot all over America on the Dem side.
Usually it’s “if not for the Libertarian defections, Trump might have won the state due to the thin margin of victory.”

To Libertarians: This time it is not a 1990s retread uniparty with Jeb Bush and Kasich. Either be with the GOP for Trump or ask meekly at your gulag for AOC to allow you to read a book by Ayn Rand on the prison tablet in your cell.

Trump or socialism, one or the other.

I heard an interesting theory about the Ocasio campaign funds scandal on the Chris Salcedo Show this morning. He thinks it possible that this is dirty politics from within the dem party trying to teach AOC a lesson about her big mouth and grandstanding.

There was no republican in her race. She ran against a lazy incumbent that probably did plenty of oppo research, but never saw her as a threat.

Now maybe Nancy has her file is is laying down the law telling her you can play ball and we'll have our committee chairs and friends in the DOJ and media bury this, or you can keep mouthing off and go down in flames.

The message will be heard loud and clear by the others, too.

She won the primary by 17,000 votes in a very low turnout contest.
After that she virtually ran uncontested in the election.
Now she acts as if she got millions of votes in a national election.

And I’m wondering, “How many moderates and slightly left-of-center Democrats are thinking, “No, I don’t like the direction our party is heading with the likes of these communists. I can’t wait to vote them out!”

I’m thinking more of the latter.
