CNN)Sen. Lindsey Graham joked about the rocky start to his relationship with President Donald Trump in a speech Thursday.

"So President Trump and I did not start off well," the South Carolina Republican said at the Conservative Political Action Conference just outside Washington. "I remember being there the night he got elected and he said, 'Hey, Lindsey, I don't have your phone number,' and I said, 'There's a reason for that.' " Graham was a primary opponent of Trump's in 2016 and one of Trump's harshest critics within the GOP leading up to, and immediately after, the 2016 election.

I think Graham is the Beta or Gamma Male. Meaning he follows who he perceives as the “Biggest Dog in the pack!”

He does have a little alpha now and again - he was great at the Kavanaugh fiasco.

Yes, wouldn’t it be strange if Trump liked himself? Sheesh what have we become?

Listen closely folks, alpha males don’t spend their time second guessing themself.

They come up with their world view and support it.

Graham is an ass. Anyone who thinks this was cute, is an ass.

Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

Thank God he is not a milk toast sort of guy.

Graham will screw Pres. Trump. Graham has already surrendered to Dems on federal district judges.

Graham is in pretend mode because he’s up for election in 2020.

Wasn’t something similar said by Trump about Rosenstein? Perhaps in the opposite direction (”He had great recommendations and experience, so I hired him, but now I realize he’s a treacherous scumbag.”)

Graham certainly isn’t trustworthy. He could flip for any number of reasons. He’s not someone you rely on, the democrats know his vulnerabilities.

He does have a little alpha now and again - he was great at the Kavanaugh fiasco.

I've also seen him show a semblance of a spine during gun control hearings, but the actual Linda Graham Spine sightings are as rare as Bigfoot sightings.

When he exploded in the Kavenaugh hearing, he made waves and he basked in it ... instead of realizing the people want action and fight, he has yet to go after those he said he had on his list to bring in and get answers. If they don’t hold the top corrupt individuals for accountability, these promised good times will be history.

I think that’s a fair statement.

Hell, I like Graham much better than I used to.

Graham is playing the voters just like his mentor, McCain.

“Build the dang wall”

And as soon as he is re-elected he will be back to pushing country killing amnesty.

Bush League Republicans MUST become extinct before the Republic does.
