Protests planned across US on Presidents Day in response to Trump's national emergency for border wall

Protesters have planned demonstrations across the U.S. for Presidents Day in response to President Trump’s decision to declare a national emergency for border wall funding.

USA Today reports a wave of protests have been planned from New York to California and Texas to oppose the president’s national emergency declaration.

A number of demonstrations are being planned by the liberal advocacy group, MoveOn.org, and others have been listed on Rally List.

“Donald Trump has declared a #FakeNationalEmergency—an illegal power grab from an unhinged man to push his racist, dangerous policies,” MoveOn.org states on its site for protests taking place on Presidents Day.

"We're mobilizing rapid-response events on Presidents Day—Monday, 2/18—against Trump's fake crisis and racist deportation force and to stand with immigrant, Muslim, and Black and brown communities to stop Trump's dangerous and illegal power grab," the group continues.

The site also allows users to input a zip code or city to find the nearest protest to attend on Monday.

Nearly 400,000 were caught FY 2018 alone.

ugh, articles like this serve merely as Press Releases for the Leftards — we don’t yet know whether there will be any significant turnout, but the MSM uses articles like this to try to gin up interest and participation.

For any more conservative protests often they won’t even report on demonstrations that actually occur, and they would never provide publicity in advance of the events.

Yes. But fun fact, the calendar read February 11, the day he was born. England was fairly late to adopt the Gregorian calendar in 1752. Washington did thereafter celebrate his birthday on the 22nd.
