Trump's complaint about McCabe's wife Jill stems from her failed 2015 run for a state senate seat in Virginia.
A statewide political action committee called Common Good VA contributed $467,000 to her campaign. Hillary Clinton headlined a fundraiser for the group shortly beforehand, raising $500,000 for it.
The PAC was run at the time by Terry McAuliffe, then the governor of Virginia. McAuliffe is a longtime Bill Clinton fundraiser and former Democratic National Committee chairman.
Jill McCabe's campaign also received more than $207,000 from the Democratic Party of Virginia, over which McAuliffe exerted significant control.
Common Good VA was the largest single donor to the McCabe campaign.

This is disgusting beyond all comprehension. The President needs to find out where in the Constitution or federal law, the FBI was authorized to even be an arm of the federal government. There has to be something, somewhere, that details the creation of the FBI and some type of supporting law. If not, chain the doors and fire everyone. It’s too far gone.

For years, I (and probably most FReepers) have thought or known how corrupt and slimy the “professional politicians” and the government was, but the treatment of President Trump and the actions being taken in the last year has brought the whole sordid mess wide out into the open...
It’s blatantly obvious now and it’s also somewhat of a shock that many Americans turn a blind eye to what’s actually happening...I don’t mean the socialists that march and parade around...I mean the real everyday Americans who just refuse to see what’s happening...

One way he stayed out of trouble was by having been an honest businessman. People think all financially successful people cheat and steal at least a little. The other stereotype of successful people is that they treat workers poorly.

as much as I hate to admit it, I think we just have to face the fact the DJT simply doesn’t have control/command over certain departments of the government. I don’t blame him at all considering this is basically a coup attempt. hopefully Barr can get at least the DOJ under control.
