Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could not handle President Donald Trump’s mockery of her controversial “Green New Deal” and ripped into him for his comments during a rally.
The New York Democrat fired back at the president after he ridiculed the proposal during a rally in El Paso, Texas on Monday where he called it a “massive government takeover that would destroy the incredible economic gains” made in the nation.
“It sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark,” Trump said.
“I really don’t like their policy of taking away your car or taking away your airplane flights. Or ‘Let’s hop a train to California,’” he said. “You are not allowed to own cows anymore? There are a lot of problems.”
His remarks during his first “Make America Great Again Rally” of the year drew cheers from the thousands gathered at the El Paso County Coliseum on Monday, but apparently got under Ocasio-Cortez’s skin. The freshman lawmaker and self-proclaimed Democratic socialist lashed out at Trump on Twitter Monday night.
Ah yes, a man who can’t even read briefings written in full sentences is providing literary criticism of a House Resolution.

She quoted a Washington Post article which stated, “Reading the intelligence book is not Trump’s preferred ‘style of learning,’ according to a person with knowledge of the situation.”
The president had already derided Democrats in a tweet encouraging them to move ahead with their “brilliant” proposal.
I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal. It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military – even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!

Fox News’ Jedediah Bila “loved” Trump’s tweet, noting during “Fox & Friends” that the “Green New Deal” was “so removed from the rational and the practical” that all he could do was “to laugh at it.”
The radical legislation has come under fire for its impractical goals as it seeks net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in 10 years, effectively eliminating all fossil fuel energy production as well as nuclear energy, basically rebuilding every building in America and making air travel unnecessary. The socialist dream plan, which tasks the government with providing for anyone who is “unable or unwilling to work,” would be funded by printing more money.
“They’re coming for your money, and they’re coming for your freedom,” Trump told rally-goers. “It’ll never happen. They won’t even come close folks.”
Pelosi will slap her down.

The green new deal sounded to me, like something a 7th grader class would come up with, as they think of ways to solve our energy and social problems.
Retrofit every building in America? Sure, no problem to the 7th graders.
Eliminate all the cattle in this country because of their gas ? Sure of course, go to every farm and ranch in America and slaughter the offending animals.
Eliminate gas and diesel powered vehicles? Of course, in the 7th grade world, everyone can just get an electric car tomorrow.
To e guaranteed jobs to the jobless? Of course , they can get jobs implementing the green new deal.
Eliminate airplanes? Of course , just take a train.
This whole thing sounds like an adolescent utopian vision of the world.
I would love to see a Saturday Night Live type satire of the green new deal, but I know the card carrying radicals who run that show would never permit such humor to permeate their “humor”.
Even David Brooks was sobered up by her silliness.

The Social Democrats will win the 2020 elections and this stuff will be made to happen, not because the SDs think that it is rational or even possible but because it would, if successfully instituted, give them total and permanent power.

Correction: It would give a small elite among them total power. The second tier of power seekers will then be purged as rivals to the New Leaders.

The only time I remember EVERYONE kind of mocking something is when they tried to pass off “Ebonics” as a legitimate language years ago.
I think virtually everyone laughed at that idiotic idea, and it quickly went away... kind of like the “Green New Deal” fantasies that the narcissistic insect harbors.
This should only be news if she “hit back” during her own rally.

She is likely too ignorant to know that if she keeps pushing the wrong buttons, she’ll likely have her name written on the front bumper of a speeding car in a hit and run fatality on K street soon. Same goes for the muslima from Somalia who married and has children with her brother.
