Virginia Lt. Gov. Fairfax accuser told friend at Stanford about 2004 sexual assault
Mercury News ^ | February 5, 2019 | Julia Prodis Sulek

The woman at the center of a sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is a Stanford University fellow scheduled to appear at a symposium next week on sexual violence and the #MeToo movement.

Professor Vanessa Tyson’s allegations, stemming from an interaction at the Democratic National Convention in 2004, and the explosive political fallout echo those of Christine Blasey Ford, another university professor living in Palo Alto, who last year accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were teenagers.

Tyson’s Stanford colleague Jennifer Freyd told the Bay Area News Group on Tuesday that sometime last fall, at the start of their fellowship program, Tyson told Freyd and a couple of other colleagues about the 2004 encounter at the Boston convention. Freyd doesn’t remember whether Tyson named Fairfax, but said that she spoke about it while “illustrating a concept” they were discussing about sexual violence.

I assume there were probably other people she told as well. So many women have a history of being assulted and women share this information.

There is certainly more to this case than Kavanaugh’s case. There was nothing other than Ford’s testimony there. Here we have a couple of facts.

1. No political motive as they both appear to be leftists.
2. She has told others about it previously
3. He has admitted to the relationship, but calling it consensual.

I’m not saying Fairfax is guilty. What I am saying is that when the facts came out (or lack thereof) concerning Kavanaugh, it was right to dismiss it out of hand. In this case, as the facts are coming out, it can’t be dismissed out of hand. It might come down to he said/she said but at least here there actually was an encounter which we didn’t even have corroboration of in the Kavanaugh/Ford debacle.

The Demonrats have a choice to make...do they want the racist Governor, or the rapist that is next in line?

Heh, we all know that nothing will happen.
After all, what’s good for a Republican goose will not happen to a Democrat gander.
Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Sadly its the muddled middle that controls the outcome of important elections. At least those perpetually confused voters in Virginia are getting a prolonged and painful look at the true nature of Democrats. The Governor enthusiastically and coldly endorses infanticide, wears a cloak of racial sensitivity to hide deep seated hard racism and has a Lieutenant Governor who sexually molests women. Perhaps some of the muddled middle will become enlightened and avoid voting Democrat.

I'm amused by Fairfax saying in his defense, "She was really into me."

Even if true I can't imagine repeating that.

"She was begging for it your Honor. Begging for it!

A wiser man would’ve spoken out against it when people such as Roy Moore and Kavanaugh were being vilified for bogus claims and the “guilty until proven innocent” standard overwhelmed politics and common sense.

Where is the blue dress?

The Democrat machine in Virginia is clearly fouled. But, will the Republicans be able to produce a viable candidate without a blemish?

Finding a pristine candidate will be a serious dilemma for the politicos charting their way through the hot-buttons of 47% and long lists of third-rail words, like macaca, that become instantly embedded in the political jargon.

Democrats will fight tooth and nail to keep him in office since the next in line, Speaker of the House of Delegates, is a Republican.

'I'm amused by Fairfax saying in his defense, "She was really into me."'

I think the key question is, was he really into her?...

According to the Kavanaugh Rules:

1. The woman is always to be believed.

2. The man is always guilty if accused.

3. The man has to prove himself innocent.

4. Contemporaneous telling someone it happened meant it happened.

5. No reporting to police is necessary.

6. No forensic evidence is necessary.

7. Man is no longer qualified for public office (unless he’s Bill Clinton).

Where are the #MeToo celebrities calling for Fairfax’s resignation?

There may be not-presently-evident political motive. After all he just got an opportunity to become governor if he can pull it off.

Can’t help notice this one is ALSO out of Stanford, as was Blatant-Fraud. And is using political lawyers.

If it wasn’t reported to police within a reasonable amount of time, then the accusation should be considered to be the kind of post-facto reality revision spurned lovers often resort to.
