NBC NEWS PUBLISHED a predictably viral story Friday, claiming that “experts who track websites and social media linked to Russia have seen stirrings of a possible campaign of support for Hawaii Democrat Tulsi Gabbard.”
But the whole story was a sham: the only “experts” cited by NBC in support of its key claim was the firm, New Knowledge, that just got caught by the New York Times fabricating Russian troll accounts on behalf of the Democratic Party in the Alabama Senate race to manufacture false accusations that the Kremlin was interfering in that election.

Gabbard is a Leftist. But in her own way, she seems to be a patriot. Maybe that has something to do with it. From Wikipedia:
In July 2004, Gabbard asked to deploy with her Hawaii Army National Guard unit, volunteering for a 12-month tour in Iraq, where she served in a field medical unit as a specialist in a combat zone with the 29th Support Battalion medical company. She learned that she would not be able to serve with her unit and perform her duties as a legislator, and thus chose not to campaign for a second term in office.
Gabbard a confused American socialist, straight from central casting. Nationalized health, being against abortion before she was for it, big government solutions to everything. She is a flower-child.
But she has pissed off the deep state by keeping traditional leftist views on fewer wars abroad, calling out the nonsense in Syria, and also - talking tough against Wall Street.

Complete fiction - as usual. Russia wants us at each otehr’s throats. They will promote both sides in that election in the manner they consider most likely to divide our country, as they did in 2016.

"Been to combat"/combat "veteran" is an overused term. Putting on a uniform does not make one a Patriot necessarily. I knew of complete weirdos in my units.

Russia hasn’t done jack to me or this country since the Cold War ended. As far as I can tell, we have more in common with Russia than China and certainly the Islamic World - so why they hell should they still be enemies to us?
