“Empire” star Jussie Smollett was brutally attacked by 2 men who beat him up, put his head in a noose and screamed, “This is MAGA country.”
Sources directly connected to Jussie tell TMZ, the actor arrived in Chicago from New York late Monday, and at around 2 AM he was hungry and went to a Subway. We’re told when he walked out, someone yelled, “Aren’t you that f***ot ‘Empire’ n*****?”
The 2 men — both white and wearing ski masks — viciously attacked Jussie as he fought back, but they beat him badly and fractured a rib. They put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him and as they left they yelled, “This is MAGA country.”
The Chicago PD has also released a statement:

Not surprisingly, a lot of people are outraged over this alleged hate crime, viewing it as yet more evidence of the bigotry inherent in Trump supporters.

This certainly sounds like a horrific attack, and we hope Smollett recovers swiftly and fully from his injuries.

Skepticism is understandable. We’ve seen it too many times: The narrative surrounding a “hate crime” perpetrated by Trump supporters turns out to be a false one.

Also, Chicago is many things, but one thing it most definitely isn't is "MAGA country," as Smollett claims his attackers told him.
Only way this makes sense is if it was a targeted attack. But how would they have known to target him? None of this makes sense. Wait for more.

I'm definitely not ruling out that this all went down as described, and if Smollett was at a Subway downtown (turns out there are a few 24hr locations), there is hopefully security/street cam footage to nail the people who did this.

A Subway open at 2:00A.M. in River North, when the wind chill was waaaaaaaaaaay below zero, by "whites" screaming "THIS IS MAGA COUNTRY", who just happened to be carrying bleach and a noose around with them? HUNH?
This is beyond ridiculous and anyone with more than one working brain cell ( which leaves out ALL Hollyweirdos, many Tweeters and bloggers, Dem pols, and other assorted nut jobs! ) knew immediately that there wasn't a scintilla of fact or truth to this story!

As for the injuries he's alleged to have suffered, a few reasonable explanations:
1. A gay sex hookup that went bad.
2. A drug deal gone bad.
3. An ol'fashioned Chicago mugging (although the weather makes this seem less likely).
4. He slipped on the ice and got the injuries hitting the ground or other objects on the way to the ground.
The guy leaves the noose around his neck for reportedly around 45 minutes after the incident is alleged to have occurred? No way.

MAGA hat wearers that watch Empire? that does not add up
There wasn’t snow to shovel and hotels have people to shovel and wouldn’t have hired ghetto thugs to do it.
The first story I read yesterday just screamed ‘HOAX!’................ If I could see it why can’t anyone else?.......................None of it makes any sense at all...............
EVERYONE knows it is a hoax. EVEN the left. They don't care. They know it will advance their narrative of "white people who support Trump are gay black beating crackers".
The last time Chicago was THIS cold, in '85, I was there and believe me, that cold, with the wind whipping off Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, is something you feel in your bones, no matter how many layers of clothing you're wearing! Which begs the believability of 1) thugs roaming around, OUTSIDE, yelling stuff ( you open your mouth in such weather, even while wearing a ski mask and your throat freezes! ) 2)thugs carrying around a noose and bleach or some other substance that is still in liquid form 3)carrying out such a beating at 2:00 A.M.!

Not one camera anywhere depicting his assault.
He’s a documented extreme Trump and Trump supporter hater. I know one myself and he went off the deep end after Trump’s election.
Likely story: got roughed up in apartment/hotel. Reluctant to report it but needed medical attention, concocted assault story to cover the truth and fit into his deranged worldview.
I guarantee the Chicago PD are leaning heavily towards hoax but have to tread carefully publicly given the city they’re in

But for me, it was knowing exactly what this kind of weather/temp is like in Chicago, that blew the BIGGEST hole in the story! People don't just wear ski masks, when the temps are this low there, they also wrap heavy woolen scarves, over the ballaklavas, as well and even THAT doesn't help all that much when the wind is up...which it was! Just try screaming anything that someone else knows what you've yelled/said through those layers! LOL
And as an aside...it is extremely well known that crime fikgures go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down, in Chicago, in the winter! EVERYONE IS AT HOME, INSIDE; EVEN THE THUGS!
Heck, even Capone came to Florida in the winter!
Stayed at a motel near here on his trips down to Tampa....................
