Willie Brown admits it: Kamala Harris slept her way to the top

Kamala Harris, that vaunted self-righteous feminist candidate who's using her 'year of the woman' chops to challenge President Trump in 2020, has a little problem: She slept her way to the top.

You know, the mistress thing, not exactly moving on up based on hard work or merit, that little advantage of good looks, employed to their optimal practical use. Her political patron, former lawyer to pimps, Mayor of San Francisco, and State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, admitted he helped her get her political start, writing in his bloggy San Francisco Chronicle column:

Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker.

And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco. I have also helped the careers of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and a host of other politicians.

Willie Brown, of course, was California's most powerful politician, which might have had something to do with why Harris was out 'dating' the married man. And it's interesting because Brown, a former attorney for pimps in his pre-political days, seems to have a taste for the kind of women often seen in a positive light by pimps, such as this one - who represents Brown's taste in women. Not that it mattered that he was married, he's always had a girlfriend in the picture, according to the article. And well, Kamala was one of them.

Perfected by the Clintons, the fiercest scandals are delayed, denied, ascribed to those wascally Republicans, announcements made that "there is not one shred of evidence" even by X42 himself and many others to support the claims (that's because the shredded docs and devices were burned and irretrievably destroyed) then its "old news" because the MSM ignored it, failed to investigate it and even actually actively suppressed information regarding the scandal.

One variation that deserves mention is how Janet Reno, having burned women, children and men took "full responsibility" for the debacle but then did not resign.

Numerous scandal embroiled Dems have taken this approach since - "Well she/he took responsibility so let's move on ..."

One last point - When Republicans finds themselves scandalized they're gone in a week - forced out by leadership. Sad.

You're right in that the story doesn't really get into the salacious stuff that's well known about Brown and Kamala (and which is implied in the headline). But her rep in California (or so I have read) is that she is as opportunistic as they come and twice as ruthless.

As to the American Thinker, I have definitely noticed a little slippage lately as to editorial quality. I chalk that up to the general decline of editorial quality in American political writing. This decline is apparently due to the fact that editors (i.e., "real" editors) and proofreaders are no longer employed by online publications (if they ever were).

That's funny given that Monica Showalter (who by my estimation is a very good writer) holds the title of Deputy Editor at American Thinker.

As an aside, I think online publications are run on shoestring budgets.

Everytime I watch TV I can’t help but wonder which actor, if not all, gave up the booty. Last night I was watching 77 Sunset Strip (snap snap). I wondered about “Cookie” and every young starlette who ever got a line. What these people don’t understand is there’s only so many openings at the top. They give it up, get a few roles, then are never seen again.

My opinion is Hollywood was (especially in 1960) one big buffet of "girls" and women for a guy in a position of power. And the women slept their way to the top. Noomi Rapace recently said a theater production she was working at in 2000...was one big buffet for the director and she had to avoid him. He got real pissed at her avoiding him.

If American Thinker and others didn’t have Free Republic and others like it posting to their stories, where would they be?

I’ve noticed that Jim Hoft (forget his publication) is constantly writing about the headline grabbing stuff, stretching the truth like CNN does sometimes.

I absolutely believe it’s shoestring budgets.

The radio and TV kingpins of the conservative movement are the only ones making money.

Still there’s a bright future for a lot of people: Scott Adams, Jordan Peterson, Candace Owens. I read Larry Sweikart’s Twitter feed once a day. Great variety of commentators coming into the market.

I mostly follow them via podcast. Hard to justify spending 30 minutes watching a talking head, but if I’m getting my exercise in or commuting to work, it’s great entertainment.

It’s still a buffet. And not just for straight male directors and producers and casting agents. It’s a buffet for gay directors, producers etc. Lots of straight wanabe stars will give a BJ for a role. And then there are the lesbian power women.
