Many right-wing figures lined up Friday night to criticize President Donald Trump for temporarily ending the government shutdown for three weeks without having convinced Congress to fund his proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Controversial commentator Ann Coulter called Trump “the biggest wimp ever to serve as president” and Fox Business host Lou Dobbs said Trump had been “whipped” by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
Fox News’ Sean Hannity, however, had a different take.
The “Hannity” host, who is a staunch supporter of the president and even joined him on stage at a Missouri rally ahead of the 2018 midterms, insisted that Trump still “holds all the cards” when it comes to negotiating with Congress for the wall.
Hannity claimed that Trump would simply declare a national emergency to obtain the funds if he couldn’t seal a deal for the wall with Congress during the next three weeks that the government is reopened...

And his top generals are Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. What are the odds any other person on this planet was going to make Jared Kushner a senior advisor at this time in this country? That is a serious question which we both know the answer to. So my next question is, why is Jared Kushner anywhere near the White House instead of Trump even throwing a dart at the FR membership as a means of picking an advisor?
My answer, based on what I’m witnessing, is that Trump’s value system is more aligned with Kushner and Ivanka, two liberals who think everyone can just ‘get along and there really is no right or wrong’ than with anyone on this site or any other conservative.
What’s your answer for why Jared Kushner is a senior advisor?

Trump vowed to end FEDERAL FUNDING for Planned Parenthood. He could have made the same stand as he is on the wall.

Easy question. He obviously wants somebody he thinks he can trust completely. Given that tantruming Never Trumpers I can see why he did it. I am not a fan of Javanka, btw. But it is what it is.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine on the phone yesterday. He was complaining how Trump “lied” and he was through with him and all that nonsense, and I asked him if Trump had declared a national emergency yesterday if he would have been all right with that - and he said that would be fine. So I asked “well, what’s the difference if he does it in three weeks? Does that three weeks a big deal to you?”.
