Print this article House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Saturday she will not take up President Trump’s offer to trade off $5.7 billion in wall funding for a three-year extension of a program providing legal status for "Dreamers," who illegally went to the U.S. as children.
Pelosi, D-Calif., issued a statement just before Trump’s announcement, calling the plan “a compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives.”
Pelosi said the proposal does not achieve what Democrats have long sought for the "Dreamers," which is a pathway to citizenship or permanent legal status.
“It is unlikely that any one of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter.“
Pelosi rejected the wall and repeated Democratic offers to increase other border security at ports of entry and to boost technology along the border. Some overlapped with the president’s offer, such as money for additional immigration judges and bolstering security at the nation’s ports of entry, where most illegal drugs enter.

Let’s see...800M plus 804M plus the inherent costs of maintaining over 1M illegals … why President Trump will be on his way to a good portion of the cost of the wall.
Plus put a stop to the moaning about what to do about DACA.
Plus the dims look like the natural disrupters that they are.
It’s amazing that we let the dims get away with having absolutely no interest in governing, only the old “tax and spend” on steroids and free trips to exotic places.

Now, Trump should ignore the shutdown completely and focus strictly on immigration and trade. Let the Democrats make the shutdown the focus of their agenda.
Changes the entire dynamic and it forces the Democrats to present a solution, something they haven’t done yet. Will totally throw them for a loop.
I was not commenting on what I would accept. I was commenting on what Pelosi or whoever says they won’t accept. Those are all the things they asked for and now say they won’t accept. They are incoherent.

Stay the course and make sure that all republicans know they will have to override a veto unless he gets his 5.7 billion for the barrier. There has to be a sufficiency of pain before the buckle by Pelosi.
Would it not be rich if he had already started the wall with the Corp of Engineers?

Like mother, like daughter. I still have not figured out what her statement means. If your not bleeding, you head is not cut off. Think perhaps it was a poor attempt at this statement. She is so powerful she will kill you before you even know your dead. Lol.
They don’t want to do their job - they like the current lack of a system and the chaos it creates - chaos is their friend...or was their friend until President Trump came along and turned it against them.
