Notes from Daddy ....
"Richie loves his floppy elephant and the hippo lights.

We have been fighting to keep them from giving him a gastric tube to feed him with.
Today he ate enough by mouth to not need one of his feeds through the ng tube.

We're gonna try to make it two feeds by dinner time.
Then we hope they stop wanting to put in that stomach feeding tube.

He will probably come home with the trach and the ventilator.
The ventilator setting is suppose to strengthen his natural breathing
so he can come off of it faster. "

I'm anxious to see how rehab goes next week. I love this good news. :)

That sweet smile should sum up how the world should face a crisis. Children are so innocent. He is just so incredibly precious and he melts my heart. I have been thinking about this little guy and his family so so much. May God move in their life today. May this little one open the eyes of anyone who does not know You, Lord. Did they explain that a nasogastric tube can sometimes cause erosion in the esophagus? That may be why they’re wanting to put in the stomach tube. Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus, we ask that you cause Richie to take in enough food by mouth, that he won’t need a tube, at all. That his muscles have strength and coordination, that his lungs work on their own and he not need the ventilator, and that his brain and every cell in his body is normal. In the mighty Name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name that is named, in Heaven, in earth, and under the earth. Amen

We lifted Richie up in our healing prayer hour this evening. There were tears from me and our group as I told them about Richie. We ‘anointed’ him through me so the cross on my head was for Richie and Jesus knows that. We prayed for all the harmful hold that is on his little body to know how powerful The Most High God is and we are praying for all affects to leave Richie’s body and heal everything! AMEN!!!
