Fox News’ Bret Baier asked Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Wednesday why he supported funding an $18-billion border wall in 2013 but is opposed to the $5-billion border wall President Trump has asked Congress to fund.
Baier asked Sanders if he thinks Democrats and Republicans can reach a deal to prevent a government shutdown, pointing out that Trump has said he will shut down the government if $5 billion for a border wall isn’t included in the continuing resolution.
“I think border security is enormously important, but I think building a wall is a very costly and inefficient way to do that,” Sanders said. “And I’m not alone. I mean, many experts think that given the kind of technology that we have today, we can protect our southern border without building the wall and spending $5 billion.”
“Yes. And senator, in 2013 you voted for comprehensive immigration that included $18 billion for a wall in border security,” Baier interjected.

A lot of democrats (Slick, The Beast, Stretch, Schmucky...) supported the wall years ago. The Stupid Party and Trump are too dumb to air the video recordings of the dems supporting the wall. Simple solutions are always overlooked by The Stupid Party.

Liberals now love “technology” on the border instead of a wall. Because they know they can shut off the technology when they get back in charge. First rule of thumb: Democrats favor Party over Country. They should be locked up en masse, quite frankly.

But video cameras and autonomous chain guns are probably against international law, especially since Mexico will have to clean up the mess.
A wall will not stop the most determined people. It will only slow them down for the border patrol to pick them up. But all these high tech options of IR cameras and drones won't even slow people down, so the border patrol will have to try to catch illegals further in or even after their Uber vehicles pick them up for ride into the interior.
When democrats speak of, “border security” they mean that anyone crossing the border must first be registered to vote as a democrat and sign up for welfare, Obamacare and food stamps before entering.

Come on; it’s who wants it. If Hillary hadn’t cheered to get Sanders out, he wold have been President and he would have gotten the Wall by now. If he had wanted to. Anything Trump wants, they would hate.

Sanders, just as the others, are trying hard to sell that it’s the ‘wall’ they object to that there are other ways of protecting the border......but they never say what.
“Isn’t” is a contraction for “is not.” “The Stupid Party” is in caps to accentuate The Stupid Party.
Simple - in 2013 the Lefty was sure they could turn most of that $13 billion into a slush fund and divert the rest to doing the exact opposite of what it would be for....
