If Trump promised anything during his campaign, he promised a wall. If he was elected to do any one thing, it was to build a wall. Not only is he justified in refusing to sign a budget that doesn’t fund it, it’s politically essential and he should have taken a hard line on it from day one.
And I am speaking as someone who thinks the wall is probably a waste of money and counterproductive for border security and ending illegal immigration. But that doesn’t matter, now. The people have spoken clearly on the issue.

The President knew damn good and well that if he said he was going wobbly on the border wall that his base would go ape shite and jamb the Congressional phone system with calls. It has played out exactly like he planned it. He wanted to get the attention of the idiots in Congress and he did. Then he made his move. I really don’t think anyone has ever read The Art of The Deal.
President Trump complained about the $1.3 trillion spending bill, but said he signed it because it increases funding for the military.
Because of Obama, our military was in extremely bad shape...THIS is the main reason he signed that and said he would NOT sign another...He hasn’t...
Just get it through the House before the House/Senate change, then get it through the Senate.
