John Bolton: US Must Curb Chinese, Russian Influence in Africa
The Daily Signal ^ | December 13, 2018 | Fred Lucas

The United States must revamp policies toward Africa on improving trade, fighting terrorism, and providing financial assistance to stave off the growing influence of China and Russia on the continent, White House national security adviser John Bolton said.

“Great power competitors, namely China and Russia, are rapidly expanding their financial and political influence across Africa,” Bolton said Thursday in an address at The Heritage Foundation in Washington. “They are deliberately and aggressively targeting their investments in the region to gain a competitive advantage over the United States.”

[snip]“The predatory practices pursued by China and Russia stunt economic growth in Africa; threaten the financial independence of African nations; inhibit opportunities for U.S. investment; interfere with U.S. military operations; and pose a significant threat to U.S. national security interests,” Bolton said.

China is buying up mines in Africa. That places us at a competitive disadvantage in manufacturing.

And also to get us out of regime change and other foreign insanity . Whatever happened to negotiating and bringing everyone to the table? We haven't seen any of that since Bolton was appointed. President Trump has been co-opted by the Deep State, unless that's always been his agenda.

PS: I don't agree with still siding with Saudi Arabia. We've had two golden opportunities to "unfriend" them. Both GWB and Trump lacked the courage and principles to do it. JMHO

From boots on the ground, thanks to Obama and the Clintons, I can say, the Chinese now have near, or unexercised strategic controll of shipping lanes for all of the South China Sea, are forcing several countries throughout the Western Pacific and South Asian region to capitulate on numerous trade and security issues, (including Australia), and have now largely completed a larger naval and Marine base than we have in DJ at the mouth of the Red Sea. This gives China potential strategic control of all sea traffic into the Gulf of Aden, and Eastern Mediterranean Sea. China is now one of the most decisive military powers in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, due to their naval, marine, and air force facilities along the Horn of Africa!

Thankfully, conservatives in the US Congress were able to stop one of our US Air Force bases from being axed west of Gibralter, Southwest of Spain, as the Chinese were seeking to take it, which would have given them strategic control of shipping traffic across the Atlantic, and strategic control of the Strait of Gibralter and potential control of the entire Mediterranean Sea. This could bottle up our Sixth Fleet if things went South in a fight.

Thanks to Bill Clinton, China was given administrative control of the Panama Canal, and the Russians were finally able to build their largest Signals and Electronic Intelligence base in the Western Hemisphere in Nicaragua. Moscow also retains 2 brigades of Spetsnaz in Nicaragua. Additionally, since Clintons second term Moscow has been maintaining anywhere from 2 to 24 TU-160 Blackjack strategic bombers with nuclear cruise missiles, (carrying 12-240 nuclear warheads), and positioning the “Peter the Great” nuclear powered battle ship, with nuclear missiles, which typically travels with 3 to 5 Russian nuclear subs to Venezuela.

As well, while Obama was president, and HRC was SoS, Russia took and built a number of what are now Russian military posts in the Arctic, some of which are on the North American Canadian Shelf.

While this was happening, the Chinese also built roughly 12 PLA posts across Antarctica.

So beside the energy and rare Earth’s the Chinese are mining for electronics in Africa and South America, this is also enabling the Chinese to control or kill the free market of these materials in the US, while they increase geopolitical control globally, and attempt to get nation’s to turn against the US.

If these nations are making inroads due to voluntary business transactions, why is it our business? In contrast, leftist citizens of America and the EU nations are doing great harm by spreading abortion and LGBT throughout Africa.

The big thing the left has done is alienate Russia and the US. So that means we look weak and Russia will go with the more powerful of the three, which will obviously be China. Thank you American lefties...you can always be relied upn to sabotage your own country.

Man, going past what I have already stated, right now, there is a huge military buildup underway by the Russians in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, Lybia, and especially in Syria.

According to open source observation, there is a significant increase in Russian S-400’s, Russian Naval, Russian Air, and Russian Armor, being positioned around the Ukraine, and further south along the Syrian/Israeli border.

In addition, they have vastly increased naval, air, missile, and armor assets along Finland, in the Baltic, and especially in Kaleningrad, between Poland and Lithuania.

According to the numbers, Russia now has more naval assets in the Eastern Med than all of NATO combined. Not saying something will happen, but this is not looking good.

We did plenty of negotiating and table-sitting with Iran during Obama’s presidency and all it did was make Bill and Hillary Clinton rich, the mullahs richer,... and who knows what Kerry got out of it. We did get a little Iranian heavy water out of it that we needed because our ability to produce it was shut down in 1996 ...and we turned over 20% of our uranium capacity to Russia which is less important than what that deal did to Kazakhstan, the world’s largest uranium producer - it gave Russia control over Kazakhstan’s mines even as Russia was absorbing Crimea and threatening Sweden and Estonia.

Iran continued ballistic missile development as if nothing had changed, and the US buried Iran’s involvement in terrorist acts so that the families of those slain would not be able to sue for damages. The Iranians saw how desperate the last two administrations were that they took full advantage of them in negotiations, getting several high value prisoners with American blood on their hands back for a traitor.

The only thing that was effective against both Iran and North Korea was not diplomacy, it was sabotage, like stuxnet in Iran and whatever ultimately caused the Norks to screw their program up[and that may have been self-inflicted]. When you get down to it diplomacy is nothing more than the art of saying “nice doggie” until you can get a stick to use as a deterrent.

But to even use diplomacy effectively in place of direct action you cannot have a “nice guy” as your team leader in negotiations. You have to have someone the other side believes is willing to walk away from a bad deal...someone they know they will have to work hard to woo, not someone like John Kerry desperate to get any deal. And to get the
best
final deal you will have to have your team leader amp up the rhetoric and walk away from a number of lesser deals to establish that he won’t be rolled.

None of what you stated excuses our friendship with Saudi Arabia or the regime change initiatives under GWB and Obama.

Evil never rests. There is no getting along, or neutral. When you play nice, and try passivism, evil takes advantage, and uses the passivism as a weapon against you!

Like the deterrent a gun can have on a deadly criminal invading your home, the best way to keep massive war and evil from happening, is the threat of extreme prejudicial death those with evil schemes are able to recognize.

Based on knowledge of history, and the knowledge of many tens of millions dead due to global socialists campaigns in the last century alone, and the quiet and continued attempts by socialist to subvert and overthrow our own country and end the liberty we have, Reagan made this point many times.

Today, the immorality which drives evil not only exists, it has grown much worse, and it has grown at home and abroad.

The less morality and character individuals and nation’s have, the more unable they are to even be able to recognize it, and the more likely they are to be conquered or fall from it.

No one can make the argument SA is really an ally. And the money spent under the recent SA king to spread Islam in the West and the US was subversion of our system of liberty, as our liberty was and is derived from true Christian culture. Just like humanism and socialism are true subversion.

However, for 3 decades, Moscow has been building up Iranian nuclear power and infrastructure, and forged a recent strong relationship with Erdogan in Turkey. Moscow has finally achieved the strategic milestone of the Shia Crescent (SC). This locks up the Caspian, Black, and Eastern Mediterranean sea’s. The ultimate purpose of SC is to be able to force European subservience to Moscow, through the geo-political control of energy from the ME to Europe, as well as shipping lanes in the Eastern Med. Moscow and Beijing are working very hard and posturing to try and destroy the Saudi/Jordanian/UAE/US alliance, in order to control the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden shipping lanes, (and thereby economies) of the Arabian region, to complete the geo-political and exonomic subservience of Europe, the Middle East, and Northern African nation’s which Europe still has economy with. This goal has been known for some time, and may precipitate a true viscous WWIII.

The only other option is European appeasement of Moscow and Beijing in foreign policy and trade, and control of the EU becomes absolute, if the people of Europe are to survive.

In addition, US strategic missile defense against Moscow, which geographically includes partnerships and reliance on European positions, weakens us significantly, as Moscow is able to pressure the EU to keep our own national defensive posture from utilizing this land based region to our east and northeast, which includes Greenland, in a time when weapons have become much more capable in speed and accuracy. Moscow does not even want our early warning systems to exist on European soil.

The Domino’s have already begun to fall, strategically.

Once the symbolic but strategic alliances with SA/Jordan/UAE are flipped toward Moscow, which there are efforts underway to accomplish right now, this will expose and weaken us economically in significant ways with Europe and South Asia.

As Israel loses it’s quiet strategic alliances with SA/JDN/UAE/Egypt, this will result in a real attack on Israel. Moscow and the religous Muslim world hate Israel.

Other points -

In this cycle, Moscow and Beijing are strengthened exponentially beyond where they are already!

As well, Iran really is responsible for more dead through terrorism around the world, (in spades), more than anyone else, and is stockpiling missiles in Syria near Israel, under the protection of Moscow.

The current Saudi Prince, while he may not last long, is not his father, and seeks to “normalize” or allow much more freedom among the people in SA. This includes new laws for religious freedom in SA itself. While I would have to see it to believe it, this is in conjunction with no longer seeking to destroy Israel, and seeking more modern non-religious FVEYE inclusion into SA foreign and domestic policy.

The Enemies of Trump, are real enemies of liberty loving Americans, who are attempting at this very moment to drive a wedge between the US and SA, (*not just to hurt Trump), which is actually strategically being used by Putin, to turn SA to Moscow and Beijing. Then everything quickly moves to real war.

Keshoggee was involved and behind the World Trade Center Attack in 1993. Keshoggee is a lifelong member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Keshoggee was a friend of OBL. Keshoggee provided me money to Sadam Hussein in Iraq to pay AQ suicide bombers to attack global targets. Keshoggee financially supported Hamas. Keshoggee did support ISIS. And Keshoggee was a friend of Erdogan in Turkey, did pay out $500 million dollars, to the head of SA’s Royal Air Force, to assassinate the royal family.

The entire region is ruthless, and incorporates horrific torture killings. Tehran and Ankara are only just behind ISIS.

Someone is trying to use this to damage Trump, and liberty loving conservative voters, and hurt America

We play right into the hands of Moscow, just like they wanted and designed.

In time, Israel gets crushed.

No freedom loving American will survive Islam or Socialism if we do not fight!

We can’t run the whole world. Let Europe figure out how to get their freedom and sovereignty back. It won’t be pretty, if it’s even possible. As far as Russia and Iran and all of our bad guys list is concerned, you’ll never convince me that they’re worse than some of our allies are. We need to worry about our own neighborhood. Central America, South America and the Caribbean have challenges that if not addressed are providing opportunities for the countries that you’re so concerned about.
