Earth’s Magnetic Field Decaying at an Alarming Rate

December 11, 2018 | David F. Coppedge

The biosphere depends on earth’s magnetic field, but it has been decaying rapidly for at least 1500 years.

In Spacecraft Earth: A Guide for Passengers, Dr Henry Richter describes how the story of the decay of the earth’s magnetic field caught his attention. He had read the monograph by Dr Thomas Barnes in the 1970s, and realized the implications: if the decay is true, the earth could not be billions of years old. He considered the various proposals for maintaining the field, but none of them work, he concluded. If this is a well-known fact, what do secular geophysicists have to say about it?

Could be a decrease event in a cycle of decrease/increase ....but if the TOTAL field strength is decreasing based on measurement...it could be that we are witnessing entropy at work...and the net decline rate would indicate an extrapolaton to the past of a magnetic field strengh too high for life or the planet to exist in its present state. There are theoretical reasons for a local mag field to get stronger in patches..and in short epochs....but overall...entropy would rule. Either way...conditions on this planet do allow our fragile frangible chemistry to support life. A very very very low chance phenomenom or a miracle.

That God made you regardless of how you will choose, doesn’t change the fact that it’s your choice that determines your destiny.

Some people who reject God and make bad decisions, blame God for making them. He can fix that.

“That God made you regardless of how you will choose, doesn’t change the fact that it’s your choice that determines your destiny.”

God knows whether I will have eggs or waffles for breakfast tomorrow.

Whichever I choose was known to God yesterday.

Yes, God knows your choices tomorrow. He already knows all the places you will ever live. He knows whether you will accept Jesus and gain eternal life or whether he will end up destroying you.

God knows, but you don’t. You still have a choice to make.

God knows your destiny before you are created.

“God knows, but you don’t. You still have a choice to make.”

Since God knows my choice before I choose, I am sure to make the choice he has determined me to make.

Why create a person that will make really bad decisions?

Oh no...its DETERMINISM VS. FREEWILL arguments again! Very difficult to provide an answer...but maybe I was programmed to say that...to quote Gordon Lightfoot...”when the mind doesn’t know what the heart will do next...the rock becomes the master and the road becomes what’s left” fromg song THE SOUL IS THE ROCK...Cold on the Shoulder album...

Possibly, but there aren't many other things we can observe that correlate as closely. Sun & planets go above ecliptic plane, magnetic fields one direction. Sun & planets go below ecliptic plane, magnetic fields go opposite direction.

Seems to be a pretty solid theory to me < BG >

"Why create a person that will make really bad decisions?"

Why not build robots instead? Would you rather build robots or people?

We all make bad decisions, but some of us make the good decision to seek forgiveness and start trying to reduce bad decisions in favor of good ones.

“Would you rather build robots or people? “

If I had the capability of ‘building’ people, I would build them to make good decisions.

But then, I am not God.

Actually it is caused by pumping out all the fossil fuels from the ground and releasing the pent-up magnetiz from the inside of the erth.

And that God knowingly made people who wouldn’t choose him, doesn’t absolve you of the choice you and only you will make.

That you didn’t like all of God’s creation will not a defense for your actions or your choices.

Hey, I've got a great idea!

Let's form a corporation to sell "Magnetic Credits" and charge everybody if they don't decrease their magnetic footprint and save the planet from this looming disaster!

We can give some of the money to under-magnetically served 3rd World Sh!tholes - after deducting a proper "management fee" for ourselves, of course.

It's a WIN/WIN!!

“And that God knowingly made people who wouldn’t choose him”

Why would he do that? Why doom your creations to a an eternity of hell?

What if free will necessitates that some people will choose poorly? What if you need some bad people to get people to understand the choices?

Would you eliminate free will in the people you make?
