The French president, Emmanuel Macron, will hold an emergency meeting of senior ministers on Sunday after central Paris saw its worst unrest in a decade on Saturday. Thousands of masked protesters fought running battles with police, set fire to cars, banks and houses and burned makeshift barricades on the edges of demonstrations against fuel tax rises.
On Sunday morning, Paris authorities hired extra trucks to begin removing the carcasses of burnt cars on from the scorched pavements of some of Pariss most expensive streets, amid graffiti calling for Macron to resign.

Macron, who has staked his political identity on a vow to never give in to street protests, is now under pressure to find a way to calm the growing mood of social revolt in France, which has taken him by surprise.

Across France, more than 75,000 gilets jaunes demonstrated all day on Saturday in cities or blocked roads and toll booths, with some briefly storming the runway at the Nantes airport and others blocking major motorway junctions or targeting prefects offices and tax offices.
On Sunday morning, Paris authorities were attempting to clean the facade of the Arc de Triomphe which had been covered in graffiti, including in large black letters: The yellow vests will triumph.
The gilets jaunes have significant support from the general public and are proving the biggest headache yet for Macron.

Looks like Macron has egg on his face.;-)
But the Paris Accord is supposed to save the world according to the DNC.
So, banks are burning and then Macron has a big meeting.
Burning banks is big time political trouble
It’s about a tax..?
No, it’s about MUCH more than that.
They are seriously talking about a “state of emergency”.
Macron is determined to hold onto power.
At the core of the resistance to socialism is human individuality. Most rational people do not wish to be a cog in a wheel controlled by others.
But he smugly, and publicly, tried to lecture Trump that being a nationalist was not good. Seems like the people of France are saying the heck with the globalist Paris Accords and looking out for the world.
Wheres that EU army when you really need it?
Guillotines were designed for socialists/progressives.
Let’s use them.

There seems to be a concentrated effort by the media to obscure the nature of the ‘taxes’ people are revolting about. Macron is trying to use a fuel tax as a way to fight ‘fossil fuels’ as much as a way to raise revenue. I hope we have enough courage to fight the same tax manipulation when socialists in this country get enough power to do this to us.

And yes, I do know the reasons guillotines were used for during the French Revolution, but we all know that the intellect and motivations of progressives are congruent to those of the corrupt French elites during that period. Think about it...fat, dumb, arrogant, and totally out of touch with reality.
macroni forgot to mention the exception: muslims running rampant with knives, grenades, and other methods of purveying mayhem.
You know Socialism is losing is allure when even the French suspect they are being scammed.
Fascinating. I find it completely fascinating that the people of France dont have the self respect to enforce their nations laws on the Muslim populace, dont care that socialism has brought the French economy to shambles, watched as Frances military has become a shadow of itself, but will riot over a fuel tax. I just dont get what French people believe is important, or why the dont expect crippling taxes when they choose socialism. After all the things that they should have stood up for, now they riot over a fuel tax that helps curb CO2 emissions and pay for socialism!
I really wish someone here could explain this to me.

It is Russian TV (RT) but they are covering it extensively.
No, its about MUCH more than that.
Well, then: Is it about taxes and more paid vacation time? (Six weeks / year is hardly enough, you know.)
