That’s what i am seeing. Unless there is some glitch, like a hold, or a box somewhere, its a win for R

Dave Wasserman ‏ Verified account @Redistrict 44s44 seconds ago More Projection: Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) has defeated Mike Espy (D) in the #MSSEN runoff. But she's done so w/ an underwhelming margin for an R in MS.

This is key for 2020 also.

The R’s will be defending 20 Senate seats (including this one, and McCain’s in AZ currently held by John Kyl). Kyle apparently intends to resign after completing the current session, and the talk is that McSally gets the appointment to finish out the two years left on the term.

The D’s will be defending 14 Senate seats, including Alabama, which I am counting as a pick up - probably a swap for Collins seat in Maine.

Anyway, this 53 is effectively a 54 because of the built in advantage in Alabama. That would mean the D’s would need to pick up a total of 5 seats, (Collins + 4 more) to gain outright control in the Senate.

Trying hard not to count chickens here, but provided Trump is re-elected, we could easily have at least 4 more years of judicial appointments (until the next midterms in 2022), not just two.

That could be two or even three more SCOTUS picks in 4 years, and a majority originalist Federal Judiciary.

Thank you...POTUS, Trump....you sir, are a great POTUS and a great campaigner. Congrats to Ms. Cindy Hyde-Smith (Senator) and big kudos & thank you to thousands upon thousands of loyal American voters, the fine citizens of the great state of Mississippi that came out and voted tody for Hyde-Smith!!! You folks have no real idea how important this Senate Run-Off election was for the history of out great American Nation Republic. Why?

POTUS, Trump now tightly controls The Executive branch, The Judicial branch, & The Senate branch of the Federal Government. The Democrat control of the House means little in the real world. Trumpy is the “BOSS”...and he will be re-elected, easily in 2020!!! The real winner of these Mid Term elections is POTUS, Donald J. Trump. Democrat, “Blue Wave”....what Dat?

Hannity just had Hyde-Smith @ 55.8% with 38% precincts reporting

Now it's Hyde-Smith with 56.1 to Espy's 43.9 with 49% in.
