Market based factors or political pressure?
I think Laura is the best take radio host out there. She’s very smart, conservative and gracious.
The toll took a tool, the article said.
Tolls will do that.
Sometimes taking a toll on a toll will take a toll.
But that’s just hearsay.
Anyway, I wish her the best.
Fine by me. Maybe my local AM station will replace her with someone who I can tolerate listening to. I don’t like Ingraham’s smugness or sarcasm.
Damn! There goes my mornings!...................
Michael savage is losing two hours or something, to be replaced with that never Trumper twerp who gets chased off college campuses (can’t remember his name). Bill Bennett was replaced with Hugh Hewitt a while ago. It seems radio is changing, and I don’t like it. I looked at the website for the pod people, and it seems difficult to find things. Just a ton of strange names I don’t recognize, with a few I do recognize, though not top tier by any measure.
Isn’t this what Michael Savage has said he’s doing? Leaving syndication and going to some sort of podcast arrangement?
That was here her podcasts have been since leaving her original syndicator in 2011.
Podcasting has really come into it’s own. None of the time constraints of radio and it can be listened to any time.
I heard Michael Medved is leaving the Salem radio network, and will continue his show online somewhere.
It does make you wonder, will AM radio survive longer term.
Doesn’t she adopt a foreign kid about once a week?
Meh... Never cared for her anyway.
I’ll never forget hearing her and Ann Coulter, on air, talking sh!t about Sarah Palin during the 2008 election.
I was done with the both of them at that very moment.
I wondered how long anyone could keep up that breakneck pace. If her TV show panned out, I knew it wouldn’t be long before the radio show would simply have to end. She replaced Brian Kilmeade here a few years back, and I really grew to admire her brainpower and quick wit. Who will be available now? It is all Sports otherwise, except for Glenn Beck, no thanks.
She is much patient with call-ins than Limbaugh.
Other than listening anytime you want..
Is there an advantage for a talk hos? to only podcast?
Less commercials..less restrictions?
Big Dennis Prager fan here.
I can take about 15-20 selected minutes of her TV show, {and 'by the way', not every single one of her panel segments is "great"}.
Laura is OK, full of her success, and thinks she is a Hannity equal but is $25 million a year short.
I DVR all of the FNC shows that I want to selectively watch, so any segments that bore me get "Fast Forwarded" as do commercials, so that no hour long program takes longer than 25-30 minutes.
As for her podcast, she will probably make money...but not from me.
Market forces at work, too.
Savage is moving to 1 hour on radio and a 1-hour podcast starting in January, so there’s a movement towards podcasting. Probably cheaper to produce. I expect Savage to go full podcast before 2019 is done.
