This adagio movement in E Major from his Piano Quintet of 1919 is an elegy for Englands war dead in the Great War. It is one of Edward Elgars most profound pieces, a monument of 20th Century composition. It was played at his funeral in 1934.
Good Evening Everybody!

Good evening, Publius, and thank you for the link...so fitting.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...any better weather today?
My deck and driveway are covered in little white balls of freezing rain.
A Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
