Still a ton of votes in MT but I can’t imagine we’ll win that one.
So we’re looking at max 55 (if we hold NV, AZ, and nothing fishy happens in FL) which is 1 less than I had hoped for. Not great considering all the rat targets and our pollyanna hopes but would be friggin fantastic considering the brutal House result. 55 is our modern high, haven’t had more since we had 58 of 96 in 1929-30.

Yes, Ginsburg looks like the mother of Psycho (the movie). And another left leaning justice is thinking retirement. If Trump wins in 2020, we get 2 or 3 conservative leaning justices. That effect will last 30 years, lot longer than Trump presidency.

Most of the open seats and retirements were held by RINOs.
It’s been a house cleaning of moderate Republicans.
Trump was smart and correct to concentrate on the Senate. The Dems had more seats up and he attacked and won. I figured +5 and it’s looking close. I hope MI goes GOP.
Still not all in so I’m not projecting the projections on the House but as it looks, the Dems might only have a majority of less than 10-15 seats.
With 56-57 GOP Senators and shaky control of the House by Dems, they’ll be backed into a corner. Nothing they pass will go through or be signed. I can even see some defecting to our side going on 2020.
They will pull out the massive spending bills and accuse Trump of “not caring for the fill-in-the-blank” group to see if he’ll cave. He won’t.
